I'd try and play whatever formation we expect to play against 'lesser' teams if that is 451 rather than 541 then go with that and aim for some consistency where possible. Schwarzer Simpson, Morgan, Was, Konch Albrighton, Cambiasso, James, Hammond, Schlupp Kram Apart from Huth in for Morgan and Marhez for Albrighton I'd like to see that as the basis of the side gonig forward.

I think I would. It's an odd system but if it works and we can continue to make it effective going forward then we ought to consider sticking with it.

It compensates for our weakness in central defence (and that will return without Huth this weekend) but we still have enough on the counter now in Mahrez, Schlupp and Kramaric I think to seriously hurt sides. I'd genuinely stick with it for the next three games and see what happens. Notice how much shitter we turned when we went back to 4 at the back with Ulloa up front.

Not my strongest or best 11 but a few of the lads could do with a rest, Morgan, Simpson, Cambiasso and Schlupp I think could do with sitting one out and I still think that's a well balanced side with a proper attacking threat, bring Jeff on for Riyad at half time after he's set one up and put one away.

I'd be very surprised if we didn't revert to 4-4-2 for this game, or maybe a 4-4-1-1/4-5-1 but definitely 4 at the back.

He's been responsible for 5 or 6 goals this season just through terrible positioning or losing his man. I'm not sure we need 8 behind the ball against Villa though. They've been head and shoulders the worst attacking side we've played with virtually no creativity in midfield Maybe go 4-5-1 and get Hammond to sit behind Cambiasso & James. I don't want to see Ulloa back in as it's just a license to whack it long and see him attempt to control the ball within 3 touches. He may have 9 goals but I've seen enough of Kramaric to think he's the better option as a lone striker.

Practically impossible though as 2 of the centre half's aren't available. Was, Morgan and Moore doesn't have the same balance so would be surprised if we don't return to a 4-4-1-1.

I'm sorry, but Morgan needs to go and relinquish the Captaincy to Cambiasso. Don't agree about the inclusion of Knocky and James...sorry. Given the service of Albrighton, Ulloja has to start, just off the back of Krameric. I'll be there - last visit to Villa Park was something like 28 years ago - 'cause I hate the place. Took a footie special to New Street where the Zulu's were supposedly lying in wait. They weren't but outside the ground some ugly looking C-Crew brutes charged the Baby squad who ran away.
