Merging Cultures Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 "I thought Schwarzer had his best game and did well to keep a clean sheet, Lawrence improved on his last appearances greatly, Morgan's positioning was probably his best all season, and showed a greater intent to get forward and find players than he usually does, and I thought Vardy was superb today." And those saying 'blah blah muh Nugent', the sacrifice from the 11 for Nugent would've been Vardy and he was our stand out player for once. Schwarzer did OK, but he has done alright in other games too. Did Lawrence do anything? Morgan's positioning when Jelavic should have scored was shocking. Vardy ran with the ball and got a free kick. It is what he should be doing every game, but i would hope with better finishing.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Very creative this season, put our opponents on the back foot this season, what games has Pearson been watching?
adam Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Nigel thinks we need to win 5 games to stay up! Nice one Nige
Matt Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Set up not to lose - We didn't, congratulations to compleating the objective...that's not the way to set up in a must win game though. We looked like we were 1-0 up and we were the team that had a player sent off. No urgency, nothing, looked like we were happy with the point. Pathetic. Can't even beat a poor team who only had 10 men, sums us up.

Lawrence injected pace and flair into the game, cutting inside worked, his cut through ball to Mahrez Behind Hull's defence was a good opportunity for us, so yeah, he did well.

5waller5 Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Very creative this season, put our opponents on the back foot this season, what games has Pearson been watching? It does make you wonder listening to his assessment of the game. Safe and laboured for the performance today ... Is he surprised??? That's what he coaches!!!!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 3 goals in 9 games at home is laughable And as said before, if someone told me that we'd get less points this season than under Micky Adams' season I'd have laughed in their face!!!! Disgraceful. Thanks Pearson
Guest ttfn Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 0 goals in the last 9 first halfs sums up our total lack of ambition. Pearson's tactics have castrated us.
Matt Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 So very depressing. We were crap. But please can someone tell me, apparently we were really good against Man City, I watched the Arsenal game on TV and we were very good (Even described as the best team to go to Arsenal this season), we played well against Man Utd, Chelsea...why is it the big teams? Can't the players get up for and not apply themselves for the games against the teams who are in around us? Why not? They went to places like Yeovil, Huddersfield, Millwall, e.t.c last season and did well, got up for those games, Ok, last season was an exception season but the question remains the same for me, why can't we perform like we do against the better teams in this league and not against the teams we should stand half a chance against?
Thrill Bert Fox Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 I think I might have noticed a trend. WBA, C Palace and now even Villa r turning things around. Could be anything to do with a change in manager who could possible organise and motivate player. Can't be that can it?

Callabinho Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 I agree. People just using it as another stick to beat Pearson with. Lawrence was popping up and creating space. And giving the ball away.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Anyone who backs Pearson now is a brain dead dick head. Fvck off and die, Pearson, you pile of shite. I am fuming as to how the idiot is still at the club
Lovejoy Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 So underwhelming today, our lack if ambition has cost us this season. As a number of people have said, take the odd 0-5 if it means sneaking the odd victory as opposed to "playing well but falling just short". I've stood by Pearson all season, he's the reason we're here and has done so much for the club. But our approach has cost us and we keep playing the likes of Morgan who aren't good enough. Our record signing is playing out of position and our attacking instincts are stifled. Really not impressed.
MPH Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 **** it. Just **** it. Absolutely **** it. If we can't even up our tempo let alone up our game in arguably our most important game AT HOME TO A CRAP TEAM THATS DOWN TO TEN MEN for goodness sake then we don't deserve to stay up. There's no point fannying around against the likes of arsenal if you are going to put a performance like that in against crapness personified. I have had time to reflect and im still livid about it. we deserve exactly what we are going to get. And right now that looks like relegation.
hackneyfox Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 But please can someone tell me, apparently we were really good against Man City, I watched the Arsenal game on TV and we were very good (Even described as the best team to go to Arsenal this season), we played well against Man Utd, Chelsea...why is it the big teams? The cnut has turned my team into a joke, I wish he'd have the balls to quit but I'd sooner we sacked him. So fcuking angry about that pathetic display.
hackneyfox Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Anyone who backs Pearson now is a brain dead dick head. Fvck off and die, Pearson, you pile of shite. I am fuming as to how the idiot is still at the club This and I don't see how anyone can disagree after that performance.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 How can anyone defend Pearson after that We need a decent manager who wants to win games
Fatty Arbuckle Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 It wasn't the result today, it was the performance. We played with no tempo or drive, we looked like a team that knows it is relegated.I'm with you 100%; what annoyed me the most wasn't that we didn't beat Hull, but more that we didn't ever look like trying, or even wanting to win!
KFS Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 How can anyone defend Pearson after that We need a decent manager who wants to win games Name?
Raj Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 We as a team are far worse now than we were last season. Anyone who thinks we'd piss the cchip next season is deluded. The confidence of these players has gone. You think Nug will get 20+ next season? No chance
