desertfox2 Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 To put himself in the shop window for the 'Silver Dyche'. Partly, but I think it's a game that suits him. They play football and he will probably start. KP will be buzzing and if he can nick a goal his confidence will shoot up. Their defense have had to concentrate non stop for 90 mins today. Yes they are professional but still that's mentally draining. The stage is set... Cometh the hour cometh the kram
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 My belief is that we could well play some of our best football, and attack from the word go. It should be a good game.
justfoxes Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Don't know what you think but watching the champions elect today certainly didn't fill me with fear for Wednesday night, if they play like that on Wednesday at the KP I think we might get a result if Nigel can pick the right squad and the right formation. It was a real bore draw and was definitely not a performance becoming the EPL champions so are Chelsea losing the plot bottling it whatever you want to call it,but I hope we go like demons at them on Wednesday night as they were certainly not at their best today and I certainly hope they play like that against us as seeing them today I had one of those moments thinking we could really beat these if we really attack them on Wednesday night I'm really hoping we win our game in hand and put real pressure on those around us our great escape is really picking up its pace and for all those non believers your fat lady friend has just booked her summer holiday and is FOOKING right off we will survive this drop and how sweet would it be if we beat the champions elect !!!??????? COME ON YOU FOXES NO5 ON THE BOUNCE WEDNESDAY NIGHT PLEASE !!
ScouseFox Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 well no. chelsea tried to draw the game 0-0 today and did. they will try to beat us. and probably will.
EdinburghFox Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Nige will probably be looking at this as a match we're not expecting to get anything from. That hopefully means we play without too much pressure with a bit of momentum. I think if we can play relaxed and well with a bit of luck we have a great chance of grabbing something. Anything would be a bonus.
st albans fox Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 They'll be going all out for it so they can win the title at home, hopefully though arsenal do us a favour by beating hull and put a bit of pressure on Chelsea plus keeping us in touch with hull.To win the title at home, they have to beat us and palace because arsenal don't play until the Monday. so they either had to beat arsenal and us on wed to take the title (not poss now) or they have to beat us and palace. the equation doesn't change much then does it. They will really want to win the title at their place on Sunday and celebrate rather than waiting for the following game which is probably away. EDIT: actually it's home to lpool the following Sunday. Doubt they want to wait that long but I wonder if a few of them might be happy do do it in front of Gerard et al Expect a tough evening.
TJB-fox Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Bare in mind they absolutely destroyed Swansea away from home, I'm expecting our early fight to soon be overcome by a classy Chelsea side. 0-3 (Willian, Hazard x2)
Tielemans63 Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 I fancy us to get a very useful point in this one.* *Thought Fabregas was suspended so I'm revising my opinion - we'll get spanked.
TJB-fox Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Fabregas NOT suspended btw, 15 bookings not 10 now as it is past the cut-off date where 10 bookings gave you a match ban. Shame
lee7 Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 I hope Vardy tears Terry a new one when we play them Wednesday. I'd like to think we will get something from this game but sadly I cant, Chelsea have been solid pretty much all season.
dannythefox Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 We're good enough to get a point I just hope konchesky is not playing.
TJB-fox Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Pretty sure we'll lose. However the fact they haven't lost to a bottom side all year (bar Pardew's Newcastle, which doesnt really count) actually fills me with confidence as most big clubs usually have 1/2 major scalps in a season. Although you could look at it the other way and say 'they havent lost to a poor side all year so why would that start now' you could look at it and think they're definitely due a defeat from a club like us
pazzerfox Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 If Schlupp is not fit, I would seriously stick De Laet left wing back or Simpson. I don't feel comfortable with Konch in the side at the minute.
Charl91 Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 We're good enough to get a point I just hope konchesky is not playing. Only if we're lucky. Let's remember, we're still only in 16th, against the most dominant team in the league. I think they'll win 1 - 0.
bluesbrothers Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 If Schlupp is not fit, I would seriously stick De Laet left wing back or Simpson. I don't feel comfortable with Konch in the side at the minute. De Laet was as bad, if not worse, than Konch. The save from Huth was because Ben Mee of all people absolutely dicked him - it was as bad as when Schlupp let Bouyate in, complete defensive lapse.
............... Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Suspect we'll lose, but don't think we'll get tonked. Chelsea shut up shop at 2-0 most of the time.
ADK Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 I think they'll win by 2. As great as it has been to bag 4 in a row, it's been against mid table sides with nothing to play for or dross. Chelsea are well drilled and are used to plucky teams like ours giving it a go but they usually make their own quality count. I doubt we lose by more as they don't bother going for big wins. We need some luck and a good performance combined to stand any chance of points.
Finn Claw II Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 We've beaten Man Utd, beaten Spurs (cup), drew with liverpool (robbed) and drew with Arsenal. Of course we can get a result. Not expected but certainly not out of the question.
Clever Fox Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 I think a draw is possible if not a win. I'd go with Wood and Krami up top with Mahez and Albrighton on the Wings. Plenty of pace there to trouble Terry and Co. Wood can be a handful on his day. He's also the only striker likely to score from outside the Box. I'd rest Vardy and Ulloa for Saturday. it's going to be tough and I'd take a point right now.
Webbo Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 I'd start Ulloa. We're going to have to go long a lot of the time despite what the purists think.
justfoxes Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 For FS Why are most people so fooking negative so what Chelsea will get the prem title but spanked by them FOOK OFF !! They don't look like the Chelsea of a few months ago we will take at least a point on that game and I certainly don't think we will get spanked if our boys are up for it and I'm sure they will be Chelsea will walk away with a point at worst they will beat us but it will be no spanking I'm hoping our fighting spirit will be with us Wednesday and we get something from that game ! Spanked my arse !! More like chelski can kiss my arse we ain't there for the taking Wednesday and after the game chelski will know how much our lads want to stay in this Premier league !! COME ON YOU FOXES !!
Guest ttfn Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Could be our first dicking of the season to be fair. Could be but after 33 games having not taken a beating I don't think we're about to start. Also at this point in the season I'd be shocked to see Chelsea throwing men forward if they go 1-0 up, especially after what we've just seen today.
davieG Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho confirmed striker Loic Remy will not be fit enough to face Leicester on Wednesday night. The Blues forward has been out for over three weeks already and is set to extend that, leaving Mourinho light on numbers up top. Chelsea started today’s 0-0 draw with Arsenal with no strikers on the pitch, instead using Brazilian Oscar as a false number nine. However, injury to Oscar meant Mourinho had to bring on Didier Drogba who himself has been out injured and was not ready for 90 minutes. Drogba could well start at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday, when Chelsea can put one hand on the Premier League title with a win. Winning the league at Stamford Bridge next weekend looks likely now but Remy is set to miss both of the next two game, with Diego Costa also a doubt.
