Fox92 Posted 6 November 2015 Posted 6 November 2015 Jesus Christ. Going on the pitch for winning the Brian Clough trophy, I hate the word tinpot but...... Was only a few tbf.
JAPANFOX1 Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Florist Just been watching how their players, manager and fans (and Hobbs) were celebrating a 1-0 win over Derby. For a minute I had to check that it was not the 1970 European Cup Final. An embarassment and no sense of perspective that 3 points against Derby is the same as 3 points against Rotherham. We are absolute light years ahead of them now. Tin-pot gets used a lot, but, that was tin-pot.
adam95581 Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 I didn't see it but a win against your local rivals is something worth celebrating. Especially when you look at their respective recent runs as Derby would have been marked as clear favourites. As an aside - There's a pattern developing on here which sees people regularly looking down their nose at so called 'smaller clubs'...it's the same attitude that made us dislike the likes of Sunderland last season so let's not turn into one of those fanbases who taste success and suddenly decide to brand any club in a lower league position as 'tin-pot' and 'embarrassing'. Let's just enjoy the ride! Edit: this isn't a dig at you Japanfox - just a general point inspired by your post.
wurmer Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Get this out of the Leicester City forum, out out out! Edit: Done
EastAnglianFox Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Feel a bit bad for laughing initially at the 2 Leeds players running into each other. Looked quite serious in the end.
foxfanazer Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Sky sports have Chris Woods as the second goal scorer
MC Prussian Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Two Leeds goals in the space of 60 seconds. A new Championship record?
jimmeh Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Amazing how there was two 5-2 away wins in the same league on same day!
Corky Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Keeps Dougie in a job longer, keeps Derby away from the top two a bit longer. Good all round.
dayday Posted 8 November 2015 Posted 8 November 2015 Anybody else notice that there was only 25k for the so called big EM Derby .
Fox92 Posted 8 November 2015 Posted 8 November 2015 Symons has been sacked. Not a massive surprise really.
Tuna Posted 8 November 2015 Posted 8 November 2015 Symons has been sacked. Not a massive surprise really. Job for Nigel?
Soar Fox Posted 8 November 2015 Posted 8 November 2015 Job for Nigel? That would be a good job for him.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 8 November 2015 Posted 8 November 2015 he's not going to want to go to a club that's fanbase is just a bunch of posh noncey tory types. He needs a real piss and vinegar kind of football club, like an Ipswich or a Wolves.
Fox92 Posted 10 November 2015 Posted 10 November 2015 Bowyer sacked. Terrible run, 16th in the league, but I like Bowyer.
RowlattsFox Posted 10 November 2015 Posted 10 November 2015 You have to finish top 6 to avoid being sacked in the championship. Blackburn have no money whatsoever and are expecting to challenge.
Fox92 Posted 10 November 2015 Posted 10 November 2015 You have to finish top 6 to avoid being sacked in the championship. Blackburn have no money whatsoever and are expecting to challenge. Agree. I think he's done a good job up there steadying the club from what it was.
AKCJ Posted 10 November 2015 Posted 10 November 2015 Didn't realise they were 16th to be fair. Absolutely no idea why they didn't cash in on Rhodes yet sold Gestede for peanuts.
oli fox Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Football League rebranding from next season. New logo and everything: http://www.football-league.co.uk/news/article/2015/football-league-to-be-re-named-the-english-football-league-2798210.aspx
Voll Blau Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Football League rebranding from next season. New logo and everything: http://www.football-league.co.uk/news/article/2015/football-league-to-be-re-named-the-english-football-league-2798210.aspx What a pile of shite. As if that's going to get people more people into it. Hate to think what they spent on that when they could have been investing in grassroots or match-going supporters.
Corky Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Whenever I hear Football League mentioned along with Nottingham Forest, Derby, Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday I immediately think it's the Cambodian Football League so thanks for clarifying.
kingfox Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Looks like the type of logo you would see on a worldwide parcel service.
AKCJ Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Wonder how much it cost for someone to go on clip art and add the word 'English'?
