Dan Posted 13 November 2015 Posted 13 November 2015 I agree with you, but Cardiff had an average attendance of 27k wearing the red kit in the PL at which time the fans were at their most vocal about the club owners. Last season their average gate in the Championship was 21k, in which half the season was spent wearing the red kit. This season they are back in blue and playing reasonably well, yet their average is 14k and the stadium less than 50% full. That's a huge tail off in attendances in anyones book, especially as most of the problems with the club owners happened more than 2 years ago. They're just a gang of bandwagoners. Small club in a big city, vast majority didn't give two fvcks about their cvnt of an owner until it went tits up on the pitch. They've gone right down in my estimation as a club and it was hardly sky high in the first place.
Tinman Posted 14 November 2015 Posted 14 November 2015 Football League rebrand to EFL 'insulting' to Welsh clubsThe renaming of the Football League to the English Football League (EFL) is "insulting" to Welsh clubs, says the chairman of Cardiff City Supporters' Trust. The competition will take its new title from the end of the 2015-16 season. The league's 72 members include Newport and Cardiff, whose Supporters' Trust chairman has criticised the rebranding. "It's a little bit insulting that both Welsh clubs will be classed as English," Tim Hartley said. "The rebranding will make a lot of money for companies making logos and headed paper but will do nothing for teams playing in the three divisions. What's the point? "The Football League had status, we knew what it meant - why mess with a brand that clearly works?" Cardiff City and Newport have yet to comment publicly on the decision, which was made after clubs, stakeholders, commercial partners and more than 18,000 fans were involved in a consultation process. The individual league titles of the Championship, League One and League Two - introduced in 2004 - will remain.
purpleronnie Posted 14 November 2015 Posted 14 November 2015 Rich coming from Cardiff where traditional and history were destroyed by their owner.
davieG Posted 15 November 2015 Posted 15 November 2015 Blackburn appoint Paul Lambert. With Alan Irvine as his assistant.
Nickfosse Posted 15 November 2015 Posted 15 November 2015 Pearson to Fulham?Looking likely, and an interesting job for Nigel. Apparently they're looking to run a U.S. System of owner, recruiter and head coach. As they have Rigg in charge of recruitment I'm hoping there's no vacancy for our recruitment staff who I feel are second to none. Would be interesting to see how Nigel gets on in a head coach role.
Fox92 Posted 15 November 2015 Posted 15 November 2015 Will be interesting to see how Lambert does at Blackburn. At the moment it looks like a good appointment though.
kingcarr21 Posted 16 November 2015 Posted 16 November 2015 A refreshed Paul Lambert is an excellent appointment for a championship club. If he gets them playing like the old Norwich side under Lambert they will be a good team. Blackburn have some decent players they just need some confidence. Fancy Blackburn to finish in a healthy position this season then push on next season. They are 11 points outside of the play offs. Tough task but possible to get in this season. Be interesting to see how they get on
rico Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 NP to be announced at Fulham ? http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11681/10070243/fulham-hoping-to-name-nigel-pearson-as-their-new-manager
filbertway Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Nige is back! http://www.friendsoffulham.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=o9f30o1a2hh5a8an42dnfpnbe1&topic=51072.0 Only got as far as the first 10 posts, can't believe some of the comments in there.
KFS Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 When the fvck did we have Chris Martin on loan? Alloa? Chris Woods? What is wrong with their fans??
HEGGSY Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 http://www.friendsoffulham.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=o9f30o1a2hh5a8an42dnfpnbe1&topic=51072.0 Only got as far as the first 10 posts, can't believe some of the comments in there. Well, that Chris Martin loan deal must've completely bypassed me lol
Soar Fox Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 http://www.friendsoffulham.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=o9f30o1a2hh5a8an42dnfpnbe1&topic=51072.0 Only got as far as the first 10 posts, can't believe some of the comments in there. Bloody hell they obviously don't know their football. Chris Martin, Alloa, Chris Woods. And how did he fail at Southampton? He kept them up for god sake. Also comments on Twitter from Fulham fans genuinely wanted Harry Redknapp or Neil Warnock over Pearson.
Fox92 Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 They could do A LOT worse than Pearson. He'll sort them out.
Fox92 Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Starting to look more like Steve Clarke Tbf I'm not surprised someone wants to leave Reading so soon.
HowardsBulletHeader Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 http://www.friendsoffulham.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=o9f30o1a2hh5a8an42dnfpnbe1&topic=51072.0 Only got as far as the first 10 posts, can't believe some of the comments in there. Wow some of that is pure shite. While I understand he's no media darling, I'm sure the majority of Leicester fans agree he is a great part of our current success. In my opinion, he saved our club. Twice.
SMX11 Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Talk about London bubble. Pearson is by far the best candidate they could hope for, if given a reasonable crack of the whip he will get them up in a couple of seasons.
LCFC FOX Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Didn't he save Carlisle and Southampton from relegation in a short period of time? He didn't exactly have long to build something there. He also actually rebuilt hull. Just like he did when he came back here the second time. Why no championship team would want him is beyond me.
Nalis Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Fulham thinking they're too good for Pearson Glad talks have broken down.
deejdeej Posted 19 November 2015 Posted 19 November 2015 Some of the Fulham fans thoughts on Pearson are brilliant. One particular man won't take his 11 year old kid to the game because of Nige's antics... well sorry mate but that kid is on a one way ride to fairyland.
ScouseFox Posted 19 November 2015 Posted 19 November 2015 lmao what the ab so lute fvck is this "fulham person" they keep banging on about
