Wymsey Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 A joke (the running) of a club. The fans there really deserve better.

rico Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 10,000 pairs of tracksuit bottoms. Kangol or Pierre Cardin?
Webbo Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 At least they can still take care of themselves by blowing bubbles. Don't let Michael Jackson find out.
MC Prussian Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 Don't let Michael Jackson find out. He'd beat it if he were still around.
MC Prussian Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 That was Bad. What can I say - I'm a smooth operator.
ARM1968 Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 Good signing for them. Market leaders at the moment. Bet Sean Dick is gutted.
Thracian Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 Never mind - there's still the chance of McAuley arriving.
StanSP Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 And this is relevant to LCFC because? Needs to be merged with this: http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/100927-premier-league-201516-stuff-it-in-here/page-8#entry3442231
Wymsey Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 Steve McClaren appointed Newcastle Head Coach. Don't know what to say; he's known for eventually cocking-up good spells disasterously and now at a club which is in turmoil.
the zorro Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 Andre Ayew signs for Swansea. Think that's a cracking signing on a free.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 Looking forward to the new season. Hoping we can learn from last season, take that experience and keep progressing in this league.
psychonaut Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 At least thats two teams we wont have to worry about next season.

Corky Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 Depends on the owner's ambition. McClaren is a good coach, got Clough's average Derby team to play a very entertaining style although he lost his way towards the end. If he's given significant funds he should keep them comfortably placed, if he's not they're in danger because the attitude in the second half of the season was appalling.
Guest ttfn Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 I think it's a very sensible appointment from Newcastle
The Blur Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 I do not really understand managers who take jobs at unstable clubs with crazy chairmen such as Blackpool, Cardiff and Newcastle. I understand some needed money or to get their foot on the first rung of the ladder but I thought McClaren is capable of waiting for a better job.

It's a win-win situation for any manager in my opinion. If McClaren does well (top 10) then the Newcastle fans love him and his reputation is enhanced for doing well working under Ashley. If he does badly he won't take any of the blame as the fans are more bothered about Ashley than they are about McClaren nowadays and the media will comment how he was working under a poor ownership.
