Fennec-Fox Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 That fair enough, but it's not coming across that way. It seems anytime anyone says something negative about his performance then all of a sudden we don't deserve him. I do think the 'lazy' tag some tried to use is unfair but from what I've read most has been justified. He is a great player. He is a match winner and hopefully he'll bag the winner today. I just hope it doesn't turn into an 'I told you so' scenario because nobody is denying his talents. Peace mate... Fair enough... But not all the time, come on mate, all generalizations are false including this one. We all want good to the team and to the player and sometimes the frustration and pressure take place in between expectations, results and reaction. hopefully tonight 3 pts.... We are all Leicester.
STUHILL Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Defenders look terrified when he gets the ball. Looks great when he finds the ball in the middle. Another goal needed before I can feel comfortable though. Schlupp deserves one!
WigstonWanderer Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 One Riyad Mahrez There's only one Riyad Mahrez ..... Let nobody say he doesn't work hard! Worked his cods off!
americanfox Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 One Riyad Mahrez There's only one Riyad Mahrez ..... Let nobody say he doesn't work hard! Worked his cods off! He's working so hard. Deserves everything he's done so far.
Fennec-Fox Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 lets see how it's gonna be with Okazaki and Ulloa upfront.... It's an opportunity for Ulloa to be a star this end of the season (with Vardy out and possible ban extension) will he shine?! Thought Ulloa could do it, and he delivered. Good to see Mahrez deliver as well.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 You never drop him of course, he truly delivered today... when we needed it most as well
lgfualol Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 I thought he was brilliant today, looked hungry and determined. Lost the ball but chased back and tried to retrieve possession. Love him.
JonesLCFC Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Imagine being someone who focuses on the very few negatives of a player who is going to win PFA player of the year. Why not focus on the incredible positives of his game? The guy is truly world class.
ARTY_FOX Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 He needed that goal. Could see the confidence come flowing back into him. Played well and looked more like the mahrez we all know and love
hornyhollthefox123 Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Told you he'd deliver today. So pleased for him.
ithuriel Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Pleasantly surprised the Mahrez of old returned to stride the pitch in god like fashion.
StriderHiryu Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Good performance today. Cool finish which typified his work ethic. He really put in a shift today. Crowd were moaning at some of his dribbles that lost possession but I can live with it. Riyad is our best creative threat and someone needs licence to try it. On several occasions he caused havoc!
Heisenberg Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Stepped up today big time. Think he likes being the main man when Vardy is out
RowlattsFox Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 so much composure in front of goal, great finish. Will always lose the ball when he shouldn't but worked hard today.
FoxCal Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Thought he had a cracking first half. Disappeared a bit in the second, though. Fortunately, he'd done his bit and we weren't dependent on him to do something. Everybody put a shift in and hopefully Mahrez can take some confidence from today and be the player we know he can next week and for the rest of the run in!
Mikey Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Really, really good today. Thought he bossed it from the start. Reckon he'll score a couple in the next 3 games as well now. Always know when he has a good game because he stays out at the end. If he has a poorer game, he's obviously angry at himself and goes straight down the tunnel.
sdb Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 That was a spicy meatball of a performance. Classic Riyad!!! He'd been so below par the last month but that was brilliant.
DelBoy73 Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Great performance today. Yet i think this game revealed how much he needs to make some fair improvements in his athleticism feats. Several time he ran out of steam in the middle of a promising counter-attack build up, ending on his knees or loosing the ball catching his breath. That is what separates him from players like Robben, for example. Players of that caliber are as good as him skill-wise, but they are most of all, absolute beasts when it comes to endurance, pace, power and control. If Mahrez could hit the weights, add one or two stones of lean muscle, work on his cardio; he could definitely become world-class material.
foxinsox Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Back to his old self today, creative and scaring their defence. Occassionally tries something a bit too fancy and lost the ball. Worked well with Gray. I thought it was handball just before his goal, but not complaining!
Phube Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 According to Sky's lot only Kante ran more than him today
