Wymsey Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 I can't see him being happy there. It seems that Fawaz wants some of the decision-making when it comes to potential transfers (and even possibly the tactics of the team etc).

Babylon Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Forest would appeal to him, decent sized club with history.... but would he really want to work with that utter pillock? We know Pearson has a tendency to have relationship breakdowns at the top, they seem so bloody unprofessional it just doesn't seem a good fit. Boro would be the perfect fit for him I reckon, but they don't look like they would need a manager anytime soon.
Captain... Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 I think Nigel is what Forest need, someone who will not let the owner call all the shots, have a greater control of the team and transfers and build something substantial rather than quick fixes and chopping and changing. The question is whether Fawaz would let him. Nigel would go there in a position of strength and Fawaz could trust him based on his success at Leicester, but if he did start sticking his nose in then things could get ugly very quick. On a side note, what has happened to Freedman, he must be kicking himself for leaving Palace, it was his team Holloway got promoted, he left them riding high in the Championship for lowly Bolton and look at them now, while he is on the verge of being binned off by Forest. Serves him right for being a greedy tw@.

Thing is it's not just him sticking his nose in about football, how many time do you hear about them not paying x, y or z supplier or even the player, with winding up orders seemingly being issued about every week. Not to mention the idiot running his life through twitter. They seem a shambles from top to bottom, I think it would need someone else in there above Pearson to straighten the club out and him doing the footy side. Fawaz needs to step away from the club entirely for them to succeed I think.
RowlattsFox Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Pearson would be tempted by a reasonably sized club with potential. Could see him at Bristol city if cotterill struggles to keep them up as I think they have decent backing.

Don't disagree with that, Fawaz is clearly a massive bellend and just the kind of person that Pearson would probably hate working with, but Forest are a club in the perfect situation for Pearson, but their owner is an arse.
Captain... Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Huddersfield might be a better fit for Nigel character wise, local chairman, keeps out of the limelight, but ambition wise he should be thinking bigger, they aren't a rich club and don't have a huge fan base, it depends if he wants to get back into the big time soon, or would be happy starting off a new project at Huddersfield.
Soar Fox Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 I had a quick look at a QPR forum last night and it's quite evenly split between people who want Nigel Pearson and people who don't. A few people said that he's a good team builder whilst others didn't want him based on his antics last season. Though quite a lot of them on there want Kenny Jackett or Nigel clough. Also read on there that they hired Lee Hoos in the summer. Wasn't he the bloke who was behind NP sacking the first time round under MM?
GaelicFox Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 If he takes Huddersfield job all that the Thai guys have said about him might actually be true !

Lots of clubs like that at the moment, Newcastle, Leeds, Forest all crying out for someone like him to shake them up. But they have nutters in charge.
Stevosevic Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Huddersfield have a new manager - won't be there
Captain... Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Huddersfield have a new manager - won't be there Just seen that. I know nationality shouldn't matter, but that's another foreign manager coming in to replace an Englishman. I guess it is a bit of a coup to get someone from Dortmund, but it is turning into an obsession.
DB11 Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 I was just thinking that QPR would be missing a real chance if they didn't take NP, but Lee Hoos at QPR hahaha no chance of NP going there under that bloke after his antics here

goose2010 Posted 9 November 2015 Posted 9 November 2015 Apprently he is on Fulham's shortlist, could be a good job for him but would he move to London? probably not
Frank to be Posted 9 November 2015 Posted 9 November 2015 I think Fulham is about right. I don't see why he wouldn't work in London. He has previously managed Southampton as well as Carlisle. He's not some weird shut-in who refuses to leave his home village.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 9 November 2015 Posted 9 November 2015 Fulham definitely the most realistic shout of all the jobs that have become available so far this season.
Ozwin Posted 9 November 2015 Posted 9 November 2015 Pretty sure he gets the train everywhere anyway. Seen him plenty of times down the train station when he was here.

Carl the Llama Posted 10 November 2015 Posted 10 November 2015 Surely he wouldn't go Forest while Fawaz is there.
