Trump visits the President of Mexico - much speculation regarding conversation between them about the infamous wall and who should pay for it follows.

Still, the race is closing up slightly, was 88%/12% in favour of Hillary last week, now down to 76%/24% according to Nate Silver. The debates should be interesting, when they happen.

@MattP, have you heard of the Bradley Effect? It describes what you've said on here before regarding 'shy Tories' who skew poll data, though better analytical minds than I on the topic have said it's more a myth than reality.

What's happened to Farage's moustache? Has it resigned? Refuses to travel unless it gets its blue passport back?

Trump spotted it, thought it looked a bit Mexican and had it deported to Tijuana. Now it can't scale the wall to get back into the Land of the Free.

In a day and age where a mexican drug lord has his goons dig a tunnel out of a prison cell to escape....or to the tunnels that get the drugs across the US border i just fail to see how a wall will stop mexicans from finding a way in to where they want to be.

Talk about bandaid solutions.

Well you see the wall will extend 20 metres below ground where it will meet the concrete ceiling that Trump's going to build under the entire surface area of the USA to keep out the crab people.

I hadn't but thanks, was an interesting read, I can certainly believe it as well, even more so in a country as obssesed with race as the USA is.

Trump started to gain again polls, no idea why either as he hadn't done anything, I had a feeling he might fight back though as soon as Purpleronnie decided it was over.

I think Trump has this by a few percentage points. He is working like a trojan.

God help us.

Dallas Morning News endorses Clinton, pretty big stuff as it's the first time the have backed the Democrat candidate since 1944.

"What does it mean to be a Republican?

"For generations, the answer had been clear: A belief in individual liberty. Free markets. Strong national defense.

"But what does it mean to be a Republican today? With Donald Trump as the party's new standard-bearer, it's impossible to say."

"An authoritarian streak that should horrify limited-government advocates" and "his open admiration of Vladimir Putin." It calls Trump a hypocrite for investing in hotels abroad even as he criticizes car manufacturers who take factories overseas. As for national defense, the editorial calls Trump an isolationist who "put sound bites over sound policy."

"Donald Trump is not qualified to serve as president and does not deserve your vote."

I still don't think Trump will stay in the race.  He doesn't want the job, and he doesn't want to lose.  He will find or create an excuse to stand down.  Hillary then beats comfortably whoever turns out for the Republicans.

Interesting idea....

As much as i despise Trump, he's way to proud to quit now surely?

Not only do i not like donald trump, i dont trust him... he says whatever anyone wants to hear with regards to immigration and will have differing opinions even  on the exact same day, no less.

And yet Hilary is everything i dislike about career politicians and i dont trust her either...

It's like choosing which one of your best mate's fart nuggests to swallow...

I don't know why I even asked how Trump had got back into the race, ten minutes into the NBC military interviews last night I realised it, Hillary Clinton, she is absolutely hopeless.

I fear for her in the debates, I think she'll get absolutely slaughtered.

Still can't see Trump bringing out enough angry white men to win the election, but I don't think an American president will ever come into the role with a more diminished reputation than her.

He is way to proud to have LOSER written across his picture for the rest of his life.  Better to concoct some conspiracy which means he can't continue.  It is a toss up between blaming everyone else when he loses, or blaming then to why he has to pull out.  50:50 I reckon.

Hillary Clinton falls ill at 9/11 anniversary.

She denies any strong health issues insisting it was the heat.

But anyone would be ill over worrying some old guy could pip her to the President post and implement controversial plans that most of the country don't agree with.

looks pretty scary, on a separate note. Why are both candidates so old? I only just realised that Trump is 70 (looks very dapper for his age I might add), surely around the 50s range is the ideal candidate for leadership, what's with all these corpses who are past retirement age running.

She clearly has some underlying illness. She has had loads of coughing fits and other incidents in the not to distant past where she buckles and falls. Not sure how she can claim these are conspiracies of the right.

Pretty much just said what I was coming on here to post, certainly weren't right wing conspiracies were they?

She a liar, immoral, hopelessly incompetent and apparently very ill as well. Trump is on the verge of looking like the better candidate. I'm starting to think he's going to win.

Apparently she was dehydrated and has pneumonia according to her doctor who says she is 'recovering nicely'. She may be all the things you've stated above, but I'd rather she had her finger on the nuke button than Trump tbh.

All equally as applicable to Trump.

You don't think assessing whether the favourite to be the President of the US, probably the toughest job on the planet, is medically fit enough to do the job is newsworthy 2 months from the election?  I suggest you are in a minority there.
