RowlattsFox Posted 10 February 2016 Posted 10 February 2016 Obvious he was going to miss that. Lacked a bit of experience in the shootout.
jammie82uk Posted 10 February 2016 Posted 10 February 2016 I think you should always go for power in that situation Pretty poor shootout overall
Jimothy Posted 10 February 2016 Posted 10 February 2016 Shame for Peterborough. They were the better team on the night. WBA can count themselves lucky. On the plus side going through might paper over the cracks of this awful WBA side, and Pulis might continue with this style of play which will hopefully end in relegation.
AoWW Posted 10 February 2016 Posted 10 February 2016 Jonathan Pearce has chosen Bostwick of Peterborough as his man to praise whatever he does from winning a tackle to breathing. He's got one heck of a beard, though!
The Blur Posted 10 February 2016 Posted 10 February 2016 That Samuelson kid looked a real talent from the 10 minutes that I watched. One for the future I hope.
MC Prussian Posted 11 February 2016 Author Posted 11 February 2016 He's got one heck of a beard, though! Just proof that an American tradition doesn't transcend well into English football. I wish they chose a more classy version if they were going for a beard or a 'stache, just like in the good old days:
Voll Blau Posted 17 February 2016 Posted 17 February 2016 The FA trying to degrade its own flagship competition even more. What a joke of a governing body... Scrapping FA Cup replays and playing midweek rounds are among a range of measures being considered to trim the fixture list in English football. With two domestic cups added to an intense Premier League, top-flight clubs fear a congested calendar damages their chances in European competitions. The Football Association also has concerns the season leaves the national team tired for summer tournaments. Other talks reportedly feature reducing League Cup semi-finals to one leg. Discussions are at an early stage and any changes to the FA Cup would only come into force once the existing TV broadcast deal ends in 2018. The Football League would need to sanction any changes to the League Cup. A move to scrap FA Cup replays could mean a financial hit for lower-league clubs, whose chances of earning big pay days at top-flight stadiums would be reduced. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35587212
ScouseFox Posted 17 February 2016 Posted 17 February 2016 has anyone seen the tv matches for the weekend?! arsenal vs hull, blackburn vs west ham on saturday. what a stunner of a day that'll be.
StanSP Posted 17 February 2016 Posted 17 February 2016 has anyone seen the tv matches for the weekend?! arsenal vs hull, blackburn vs west ham on saturday. what a stunner of a day that'll be. Bournemouth vs Everton Chelsea vs Man City Shrewsbury vs Man Utd They're all on TV too. Don't know which is BT or BBC though.
Leicesterpool Posted 17 February 2016 Posted 17 February 2016 The FA trying to degrade its own flagship competition even more. What a joke of a governing body... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35587212 I know would totally destroy the feel of the Fa Cup, would be so unfair also on the lower league clubs for if they draw a big team in the cup. If your trying to reduce games how about clubs that finished within the top six of the top flight will be given the option of playing in the league cup.
Corky Posted 17 February 2016 Posted 17 February 2016 That will be fun, you'll just have Premier League managers moan that we have midweek cup games before Premier League games at the weekend so will still put out weakened sides and not give a toss.
purpleronnie Posted 17 February 2016 Posted 17 February 2016 At least this way with Extra Time and Pens the smaller clubs have a better chance of progressing and increasing their chances of a big team in the next round. And I do agree we play too many games.
Nalis Posted 17 February 2016 Posted 17 February 2016 I agree with the no replys proposal but not the midweek proposal. BBC being the BBC had an article on what we would have missed out on if there were no replys that was full on cringe.
Fox92 Posted 17 February 2016 Posted 17 February 2016 has anyone seen the tv matches for the weekend?! arsenal vs hull, blackburn vs west ham on saturday. what a stunner of a day that'll be. I swear they only picked Hull/Arsenal because of the 2014 final. They drew each other in the third round last season and it was televised too. Bournemouth vs Everton Chelsea vs Man City Shrewsbury vs Man Utd They're all on TV too. Don't know which is BT or BBC though. Bournemouth v Everton and Chelsea v Manchester City is on the BBC.
J.Lisemore Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 Why is that not a second yellow for Koscielny then? Wreckless tackle on Meyler and of course he gets away with it.
Dan Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 I honestly can't be arsed with this anymore. This year's FA Cup has been so awful it's tipped me over the edge. Either give a CL spot to the winner or get rid. This watered down version is terrible. Didn't Wenger earlier this week reject the idea of scrapping replays because of the "tradition of the cup" yet made ten changes today. Laughable.
MC Prussian Posted 20 February 2016 Author Posted 20 February 2016 I'm expecting a flurry of internet abuse from Arsenal fans aimed at Hull City AFC or Hull City supporters any minute now. Come on, you Gunners - at least be consistent in your anger!
StanSP Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 Why is that not a second yellow for Koscielny then? Wreckless tackle on Meyler and of course he gets away with it. said on Twitter if it was the other way round that's a 2nd booking for the Hull player.
glenelgfox Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 Great result another match for Arsenal to try and juggle!
orangecity23 Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 OH IT'S AN OUTRAGE, WE SHOULD HAVE HAD 50 PENALTIES, BRUCE/HUDDLESTONE/POWELL/ELMOHAMADY/MAGUIRE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SENT OFF, I'M GONNA VINE ALL THE TIMES THE REF GOT IT WRONG, IT'S NOT FAIR, HULL RESERVES ARE STOKE V3.0, I'M GONNA UPLOAD A YOUTOOB VIDEO OF MY REACTIONS LATER, WENGER HAS GOT TO GO, FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER @ARSENESBIGGESTFAN_GIROUDSANCHEZ4BALLONDOR
Dan Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 That's a good result for us. Imagine not beating a Hull side who've changed ten playe..... ah shit.
Fox in the North Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 That's a good result for us. Imagine not beating a Hull side who've changed ten playe..... ah shit. At least we did it early on in the season Now this is such an unnecessary extra game for Arsenal at this stage of the season.
