Pasty1 Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 All the focus can be off Vardy's back now...... Leicester City as a whole can be the talking point.... and Vardy can start another run...... AND..... He's got the record!!! ;-)
Sharpe's Fox Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 Great result but bit miffed for Vards. Isn't Garry Monk a little bitch? Said our first goal was handball, yeah maybe if your defender could actually put a ball out for a throw in there wouldn't be a corner see you in Job Centre Plus, mate.
ThaiFox Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 Another clean sheet. What a difference since Simpson & Fuchs came in. Got to give them both massive credit. This is a real team with excellent performances throughout.
Foxhateram Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 Drinky was everywhere today. The commentators on the feed couldn't stop talking about him. The lad can't be far away from an England call up, he done more then ligard and Mason.
Swiper Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 Definitely disappointed that the streak is over for Vards but it had to end at some point. Could be a blessing in disguise now that it won't be this overarching concern we have during every game. Be nice to sub him out, if possible, when games are decided.
NGoloMode Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 No. I'm with Merson on this one. Drinky is a true box-to-box CM, Kanté is much more defensively minded. Haha leave it out!! Kante gets forward more than Drinkwater. Watch the goals again. https://streamable.com/f3k8 https://streamable.com/eqc1
shen Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 That was nowhere near our best performance of the season, it was just that Swansea were almost as bad as Newcastle. We should have scored at least five and our 'unclinical' finishing was quite frustrating. However we won and we know we can play better so it doesn't matter too much. I thought Albrighton had a relatively poor game and Ulloa was as pointless as a player can be, but apart from that 7s and 8s all around. It's hard to judge our performances in games where we dominate the opposition as much as we did today and against Newcastle. If Ulloa and Vardy had notched a goal each, I would say it would have been the complete performance. Albrighton assisted the first and was his usual energetic self. Agreed, his crosses weren't that good, but conditions could be a slight excuse for this. Actually thought Ulloa was far, far more effective than Okazaki has been. Yes, I know they don't play the same roles, but Ulloa harried and chased as much as Shinji does, albeit only slightly more clumsily. He won many headers and linked up superbly with Mahrez throughout. A couple of crucial defensive headers too, and thought his performance was only let down by one or two poor decisions and a terrible finish from a great position. Ironically, Mahrez' wastefulness was somewhat more infuriating and it speaks volumes that when you consider he got 3 goals!!
Robin JD Popley Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 We're top of the league, we're top of the league, we're Leicester City, we're top of the league!
NewEnglandFox Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 Haha leave it out!! Kante gets forward more than Drinkwater. Watch the goals again. https://streamable.com/f3k8 https://streamable.com/eqc1 In general, not today. Kante was farther forward today than he usually plays.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 Leicester top of the league, scored the most goals we have the leading top scorers in the premier league... looks like my football manager save
HighPeakFox Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 The audio on those streams is very messed up!
Finn Claw II Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 "We have to keep winning games and collecting points and hope that Leicester slip up.". Not often you hear that from Wenger!
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 As much as I like Monk, surely time for him to go? We actually made them look like a pub team. There was 5 minutes at the start of the second half when they competing, the rest of the time we were in complete control.
smudger63 Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 A 3-0 away at Swansea is not as good a result this season as it would have been in previous seasons - frankly we'd make anyone look shit hot at the moment. You're doing very well at the moment - enjoy it while it lasts. There's no way you'll go down but this talk of 'possibly' winning the league is slightly deluded...you'll finish in the top half - every team has a slump at some point. At this rate though you're far more likely to be in the top flight next season than we are....I fully expect so load of shit to be hurled my way now so don't disappoint You aint catching me.
Soar Fox Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 paul merson just said danny drinkwater was the best centre mid in the country what a fella What about David (not much between them) Jones??
Swarles Barkley Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 Going to be weird when we get to 40points. Ranieri and the players will have nothing to talk about in interviews!
MC Prussian Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 Going to be weird when we get to 40points. Ranieri and the players will have nothing to talk about in interviews! 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, ...
leicesterseddon Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 Think we'll keep hold of both Vardy and Mahrez in January. Call me an optimist but I just can't see them moving. Can see us losing Mahrez in the summer if a bigger club comes in for him though. Wouldn't really begrudge him the move either. Real question is - if we're still in the top 4 by early January, do the owners get the chequebook out? I know CR hasn't said we're looking for anyone but it must be tempting; we're in such a good position to invest...
Bobby Hundreds Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 Going to be weird when we get 90 points.
ScouseFox Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 What about David (not much between them) Jones?? SCOTT ARFIELD OVER ANY OF OUR WINGERS
Soar Fox Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 SCOTT ARFIELD OVER ANY OF OUR WINGERS Mahrez scores a hat-trick in a 3 nil win over Swansea what puts us top of the premier league. Scott Arfield gets subbed in the 77th minute in a 2 nil home defeat to Preston.
Steven Posted 5 December 2015 Author Posted 5 December 2015 He's not even the best CM in our team! Quite.
Clever Fox Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 I thought DD was magnificent today. Ran the show from start to finish. Ulloa was fine in the support role. He really should have got on the score sheet also. Onwards and upwards we go.
Great Boos Up Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 JV has his record. I'm glad the media heat is off him and praise is filtering down to other players. The big boys can't buy the whole bloody squad!
