At the quarter pole, several City players are top ten in key statistics.

GOALS:   5th (T)   Jamie Vardy   6

ASSISTS:  6th (T)   Riyad Mahrez   4

BLOCKS:   4th   Wes Morgan   15      5th (T)   Danny Simpson   13      10th (T)   Harry Maguire   10

TACKLES: 1st   Wilfred Ndidi  43

INTERCEPTIONS:   8th   Christian Fuchs   21

PENALTIES SAVED:   1st (T)   Kasper Schmeichel   1

And then FOULS: 3rd (T)   Wilfred Ndidi   18

Lastly, to prove stats don’t always lie … SHOTS …

1.            Harry Kane   57

2.            Romelu Lukaku   37

A little piggish are we ‘arry ?!  8 goals on 57 shots is well below the PL average conversion rate.  BTW we are fourth as a team in conversion rate behind the Manchester clubs and Chelsea, despite Vardy barely approaching his own standard so far.  Assuming he heats up (or reverts to mean, as the statheads say) … we march onwards and upwards.

It's because Kane is selfish and shoots from anywhere and any angle. In 2015/16 he scored one more goal than Vardy and Aguero but had 40 more shots. His conversion rate isn't great.

Comforting stats from yesterday's defeat:

We won the Premier League by a margin 5 times bigger than Man City's two title wins put together.

Since their triumph in 2014 they've spent £519m (half a billion fvcking quid!!) trying to replicate it, and have so far only won the League Cup.

They finished 14 points behind us in 2016.

Just noticed on the Premier League page, our Head-to-Head vs Spurs is:

Won - 10

Lost - 8

Drawn - 4

Considering we’ve been below Spurs for all but one season we do seem to have a good record against them (let’s not forget the cups as well!)

Can anyone find our win ratio for the last 3 years with Shinji starting and without him starting.

last two years would be a more accurate figure, otherwise the figures would be horribly skewed by him starting every game in 15/16

If you list the clubs that the players in the Ballon D'Or Top 10 of 2016 and 2017 have played for, the following clubs are represented most often:

1) Real Madrid       5 players

2) Leicester City    4 players

3) Barcelona          3 players

    Spurs                 3 players

Strange stat. Not sure we should be proud of Kane spending half a loan season here years ago and then coming 10th in the Ballon D'or like it's anything to do with us.
