Villa (Away) - Pre Match Thread

point still stands we can't drop points against this horrible team if we want champions league football.

Oh be quiet, it's not all about one game.

They have to go out and try to win every game they have left this season. They will commit men forward from the outset I think. It'll leave them wide open at the back and they'll be 0-3 down at half-time.

Vardy back in the goals and Bluenose Gray to bag as well.

Easy pickings, the pressure is well and truly on them.

I'm never ever confident about our chances going in to any game.

But for those saying "no such thing as an easy game in the Premier League", I take it you didn't see any of our wins over Newcastle in 2015? And even if it were true, this Villa side is surely the worst team in the top flight for about 7 or 8 years, they've won once at home all season and they've been so shit they've ended up arguing with their fans about it.

This is as close to "an easy game" as we're ever likely to get playing in this division and anything but a win would be disappointing.

Add in the fact that the air of mad unpredictability (that existed in the reverse fixture back in September) appears to have disappeared from our game and we look brilliantly organised at the back in a way I can't remember seeing in the 15 years I've been going and it's hard to see past a Leicester win, presuming somebody - anybody - brings their shooting boots.

That said, they rarely get walloped (more so than us last year but they're not exactly whipping boys) so I wouldn't be surprised if it ended 1-0 to us.

But then again, I'm a Leicester supporter. Murphy's Law is a lurking omnipresence and no doubt Villa will pull the game of their season out of their pockets and romp to a 3-0 win.

I think Villa will have their tails up for this, but their confidence will be fragile. If we score first, I think we'll win comforably, but we need to be on top of our game from the off.

oh course not but if we can't win the easy games it puts a lot more pressure on the games which will be far harder. We have a damn tough run in to end the season

villa forum's entertaining, one fan saying he wouldn't swap many of villa's players for ours is probably the pick of the bunch.

The feeling's mutual on that one, you can keep gabby agbonlahor and jack grealish :crylaugh:

This article would make our squad pi55 themselves silly this if it's to be taken as tongue in cheek or seriously who cares it's a humorously funny post even the bit saying Mahrez is average!!

http://www.thevillablogger.com/ungrateful-leicester-city-still-havent-thanked-aston-villa/

lets spoil Villas tiny resurgence today and stuff them 0-6 now that would be a great result and great for catching up on arsenals goal difference !!

Just about to set off for this am looking forward to the game. It will be closer than a lot think they are at home and will be up for it.

Hopefully we can contain them and hit them on the break. Going for 2 1 to us, Vardy and Mahrez to get back into the scoring habit.

Who do you think will be the studio guests, me thinks Tim Sherwood and Dion Dublin. Then Sky can bang one out over Tim saying how wonderful he is.

The whole "Man City drew there" argument doesn't really work considering that City went on a run of not winning away for about 3 months, and they missed a few right sitters in that game too. Villa are shit and we've really got no excuses.
