We should be concerned how the club spend their money, too many bad value buys and over inflated contracts will eventually see us relegated.

Just like in any business you have to squeeze every bit of value out of your money if you crave success.

I agree to a point but there comes a point were we have to stop paddling around the shallows, take a plunge and swim. If we're too scared to take the plunge we'll never progress. I think we've come to that point and we have to stop worrying about fees and trust the club are doing the right thing, otherwise we may as well run back to the beach.

But are we in general qualified to judge what is good value or not? If the risk isn't great, then it would take less for players to be value for money. Is it totally unreasonable to suggest that £20m doesn't represent too risky a deal in the situation we're in?

It's not like we have a plethora of bad value buys in our recent history anyway, unlike Newcastle, Hull, Man Utd, Liverpool etc.

I'm a bit meh on this one. Goalscoring rate is not particularly impressive, worse than Brown Ideye who played in similar league and was shit.

Why does it bother us fans if a player costs £20 or £20 million? We are not paying it the club is and we obviously can afford it. We are in no position to judge if a player is worth 10m or 20m thats not for us to decide so all this " I think we should pay 12m but not £20m" is dribble. Trust.

More I see and hear of this bloke the more I think he may be the one I want after all. ACON can get in the bin though.

Agreed. Seems to fit our style and mentality. Hope we can get it done

WOW.

This one has come out of nowhere.

£20M is a lot of money for someone we know very little about. If we were splashing £20M on a Premier League player then we'd all feel more informed and could weigh-up the validity of it.

Pace - v.important

Workrate - v.important

Goals - v.important

They're the attributes our strikers should possess so if Musa ticks the boxes then it should be money well spent.

It's exciting, can we buy them all?

Yes I think I tend to agree with you on this for the same reasons. Are there any great examples of strikers in recent times

coming out of Russia and succeeding in the Premiership? I'm also cool on Eder if I'm honest as it doesn't take much to play in italys front line at the moment (from Italian relatives ) , Serie A is also poor at the moment, Inler hasn't for all the hype beforehand hit the ground running. Krameric must have been really bad! With the exception of Morati (ain't going to happen) I find the whole bunch uninspiring. At least Remy has a Premiership track record but doesn't he have a degenerative problem with his calf? Whilst our position is once in a lifetime it does all seem a bit of a panic and a risk.

Seems a bit hefty. 10 mil for Eder for me. Concentrate on your gray's and Chilwell's for the future. Love that the clubs looking at all this pace though.Teams struggle to live with us already.

For those saying why should we care about paying £20m for a player because it's not our money. Think about it this way. What if we don't qualify for Champions league. What if we get relegated next season. Would we be able to service the debt which finances these £20m transfers? Going into Administration is the reason why we should care.

Spot on. Look at the mess Bolton are in now? They were a an established Premier League Team not so long

ago. Villa are about to join them. I am not sure how much cash is generated just for qualifying for the CL, so if this recruitment did edge us across the line come May, it is a tough call to make by he bean

counters at the KP.

Our owners have the nerve to do what's necessary and the sense to recognise the need for prudence and value. At any level of businesses there are calculated risks involved, mistakes will be made and the important thing is make sure the good purchases far outweigh the bad - and we seem to have demonstrated that - and some.

Well, Musa plays in an attacking mid position quite a bit, so he won't have an incredible goal-scoring rate (Vardy would still be our main striker, anyway).

He's also only 23, captains his national side, and has already played pretty damn well in a World Cup.

Honestly I think people need to have more faith in our scouting network, if they have identified him as a target they obviously see that he will fit in. I wouldn't be too concerned on monetary matters with this signing.. We are among the top 30 clubs in terms of cash rich, we have one of the cheapest line up in the league and I imagine our wage bill isn't too ridiculous.

Unfortunately if we want to make the next step in becoming a top team then we will have to consider that signings of this value will happen.

I'd be happier with Musa than Morati. I think the team spirit at Leicester is priceless and from what I have read Musa looks like he has an excellent attitude. How much we pay him is going to be more important than how much we sign him for. Really hope we get him.

Musa would be an amazing signing. Simple amazing.

I think people are missing that he was played on the wing for a long time in Moscow.
