Guest ttfn Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 Just had a skim through this thread and had a chuckle about the Newcastle fan trying to convince us that they're a good side and quite literally refers to losing 3-0 at Sunderland as an example. Edit, sorry, to add Arsenal (lost 1-0) and Man City (lost 6-1) Come on But they couldn't live with them Dan
Dan Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 But they couldn't live with them Dan I watched the game, and to be fair they did play well in the first half, I just found it quite funny as how a game they ended up losing 3-0 was given as the example. "We had a red card, it's game over" is the attitude there. Would we react like that with ten men away at Sunderland, a goal down? Not a chance. Funnily enough I also watched them beat Norwich 6-2 and it was one of the weirdest games I've ever seen. I've never seen a side look so average and score six goals.
GreenBhoy Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 Hello all. Celtic fan here, just signed up as I'm quite frankly mesmerised by the 'Leicester story' and to be honest I just wanted a bit of a nosy on here to see how the fans nerves/excitement levels are! Absolutely rooting for you guys to do it, should be a brilliant end to the league season. Tonight should be comfortable, 2-0 or 3-0
trickytrevbenjamin Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 Be very interesting to see their team this evening. Their back 4 is very make shift at the moment. I am guessing they will try and hit us on the break using Sissoko and Perezs pace. Kante breaking forward and closing Shelvey down will be a key battle.
steveherbe Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 Just seen tonight's score on the bbc website Leicester 20:00 Newcastle Bloody hell, they must think we are special, might be worth a bet, wonder what price I'd get

fox766 Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 Just like this time last season in all honestly I don't care if we play well or not all that matters is that we win and get three more valuable points. COYB
Babylon Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 As always, respect the opponent, out work them, out fight them... the rest will usually take care of itself if you do that.
inckley fox Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 And the last time he took over someone in the bottom three was....? He's only ever taken over one club mid-season, from what I can see. He drew the game. And, as we know, the 'new manager bounce' isn't really a bounce when it's a mid-season appointment. 50-55% of sides, even the ones that go on to do well under their new boss, lose the first PL game after a mid-season appointment (I repeated the exact stats in my previous message). Big name managers fare no better. But it's a tough game. And such a big name appointment will have an impact. Let's hope that impact is felt more keenly by the time they play Spurs.
Countryfox Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 Want to see JV get back in the groove tonight ..... I think Kane is going through a purple patch.
thybluefox Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 Vardy hattrick and an early goal will seriously dent any confidence they may have gained from Rafa coming in.
st albans fox Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 We have a big part to play tonight No doubt Rafa has been trying to get into their minds. We need to remind them that they are playing at the league leaders - try and remove some of that self belief he would have been trying to get into them. Let's hear us loud and clear pre kick off 'Top of the league etc etc '
whoareyaaa Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 Have to echo the statements of a few, this is the first game I am feeling the nerves I don't know why though! We should win this even with Rafa in charge its the same team that has been battered all season.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 Unbelievable bunch of pussies, oooooooo I'm nervous, worried or scared, fkn man up! Tonight is about us, not the Fat Controller new manager effect bs. Lets raise the roof and watch our boys do the job required in pursuit of the title! Chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarge.
nigelbee Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 Around this time last year we entertained NUFC and like then I'm a bag of nerves today. Oh for a goal in the first minute like Leo's last year. To be fair the stakes were higher then so relax, play with freedom and we will be ok - COYFs!
dylanlegend Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 Around this time last year we entertained NUFC and like then I'm a bag of nerves today. Oh for a goal in the first minute like Leo's last year. To be fair the stakes were higher then so relax, play with freedom and we will be ok - COYFs! I'm starting to think the stakes are higher now, all this talk of 'more pressure last year'.... We have the chance to create SPORTING HISTORY, possibly the greatest of all time. The stakes don't get any higher. That said I believe this team truly don't think about it Mick and just get on with their jobs... Thank God
Foxxed Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 Fully fit team. No first team injuries. Great form from our subs. Great team spirit and attitude. Superb tactian behind the wheel. Multiple truly world class players on the pitch and everyone in good form. Adapting to different styles of play. I'm fairly sure we can win this. COME ON.
NewEnglandFox Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 My heart would prefer if we started like this. https://streamable.com/mc6n
Socks Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 I read other fans forums, I always do before a game to see what their opinions are of us, etc etc From what I can gather a lot of the posts I am reading think they are going to come to us tonight and gets something out of the game just cos Mclarens gone and Rafa's in. one of them's even commenting about Inter vs Roma quite a few seasons ago (Rafa vs Claudio) which Inter won 3-1 so reckon it will be the same score line tonight. Reckon it will be a tough game tbh 2-2
Bluetintedspecs Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 It's the pussy nervous attitude that worries me the most, that wet attitude can soon transmit from the stands and affect the players. Man up and be loud and proud!
MPH Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 It's amazing how a change of manager makes everyone think they are Maradona and in Newcastle's case this may well be true - unfortunately for them the overweight and out of shape kind. I think Newcastle will put up a very spirited performance but will be undone in the 2nd half by our fitness levels and skill.

TheUltimateWinner Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 We always do shit when the fans are shit. Sing up tonight lads, helps ease the players nerves.
Sionnach gorm Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 CR has it right. "I don't get mad about mistakes,I get mad if you don't fight". Fight! Win this! Up the foxes!
lucky19672 Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 Hello to all of you on here. Firstly congratulations on what a great 12 months you've had. I think you'll find that the majority of football supporters in this country are behind you in your push for what would be a remarkable title win. On a selfish note, the whole of Wearside will be firmly behind you tonight and while the Fat Spanish Waiter might get them more organized than Tufty was able, he surely wont have had time by now. Sunderland are no world beaters and a fair amount of our players need replacing if we are to progress next season, but Newcastle are absolutely abysmal. Come on Leicester.
