gdl9050 Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 Would love for him to get the Golden Boot. Looks like it's going to be Harry Kane now. Would just be a shame in my opinion if say Mahrez won premier league player of the season, Kante won Leicester player of the season, Morgan players player of the season... And Vardy ends up with no personal accolade. I'm sure he won't mind too much though! But to score in 11 consecutive games and being such a vital part of the side it would be a slight shame. Hopefully he will have a banging end to the season and bag 5 goals.
MC Prussian Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 We've got six games to go now and anything is possible. As much as I'd love him to surpass Kane, let's not forget he's already six-and-a-half years older than the Tottenham lad and we pride ourselves on a fantastic defensive record as of late and have been witness to an attack that has been stifled too often due to opposing teams learning their trade. Â The media have for most part been all over Kane because of his age and the season he's having (Vardy's eleven-game scoring streak was just a distraction in between). Â We're playing it safe for now and coming up with results that are pretty much the norm for tittle contenders - keep it tight and use your chances wisely. Should we manage to secure the title with a few games to spare, I'd expect Vardy to refind his scoring boots pretty quickly.
whitlock Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 Get your point but;  - Smashed Ruud's records - (potentially) league title - Champions league spot - Scored for England - New contract - Pretty much confirmed his place in the Euros  I don't think he will look back on much this season and be upset about much.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 I'm sure Vardy would want the Golden Boot but settling for the league title and a Guinness World Record isn't so bad! Plus there is one person every year wins the boot, but Vardy's incredible record will likely remain for decades
gdl9050 Posted 8 April 2016 Author Posted 8 April 2016 Ever since the Liverpool game where he scored that worldie, he has scored 1 goal for Leicester (penalty). Obviously his game is a lot more than just goals, but just wonder if that goal actually derailed his goalscoring form a bit? Or is it just the new way we are playing.
Foxxed Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 He was criticised for not being good enough with his back to the goal. With his assists the past few matches, he's proved this isn't so. He's become an even better footballer.
Bert Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 No personal accolade? He's broke the Premier League record for scoring in consecutive games. He will win our goal of the season too.
filbertway Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 YES! I'm sure scouse will agree with me as well. He's ruining the Christmas betfred special like a massive chump.
Bedford Fox Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 YES! I'm sure scouse will agree with me as well. He's ruining the Christmas betfred special like a massive chump. I agree with this.
Stevosevic Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 It's not over yet from Vardy, a couple of braces will change all that!
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 I'm hoping he can score a few before the end of the season. The important thing is, is that he is still contributing to the team through his work rate, positioning and assists.
les-tah Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 Put it this way harry kane would swap a golden boot and his right arm for that premier league title that we could potentially win.
Danizen Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 Our counter-attacking game hasn't been as effective these past 6 weeks because every team we play sets their defenders up so they're basically standing on their keeper's toes. They're understandably trying to stop our main threat. I'm happy that we've still found a way to put points on the board (whatever Spurs fans say) but Vardy is going to find it difficult when teams defend deep. I'm happy enough that he's weighed in with some priceless assists during this run and believe that he'll bag a couple before the end of the season but won't be enough to stop Kane picking up the golden boot.
Bryn Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 It is a shame, he looked like he could win the European golden boot at one point but he's had a magnificent season. We and he knows he does more than just score goals with his pace.
Captain... Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 It is a shame, but getting the golden boot wouldn't even be the cherry on top of Vardy's record breaking season, if we win the title.  It would be the lightest sprinkling of icing sugar, over the top of a dozen of the sweetest cakes ever made, each one with a massive cherry on top, served on a gold plate resting on the back of the sexiest woman alive who is on all fours sucking you off.
Swarles Barkley Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 No personal accolade? He's broke the Premier League record for scoring in consecutive games. He will win our goal of the season too. are we completely ruling out a 40 yard volley from huth against chelsea then?
Winchesterfox Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 No. Â As long as we keep on winning, I don't mind who scores for us or how. Â
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 are we completely ruling out a 40 yard volley from huth Kingy against chelsea then?
MakingEmileOfIt Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 Vardy is so much more to us than goals. His high pressing turns defence into attack continuously, he's always an 'out ball' for full backs if they're under pressure, and he frightens the life out of defences. Kane is a class finisher no doubt and probably will end up being top scorer, but it's by no means over. Strikers have 'purple patches'. Wouldn't surprise me if Vardy scored the weekend and got 5-6 more this season. Not to mention his personal record of breaking Ruud's consecutive goal record, a film being made about him and everyone solely talking about Vardy for about 4 months of the season. Although personally I'd give goal of the season to Mahrez away at Man City.
tsintskaro Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 I was afraid if he was tired or something after all of that harsh season, but two games for England showed that he is still ready to go.we all know leicesters last games are kind of defensive  and he hed not much chanses,i think he will score 2-3 goals till the end of the season.

Ric Flair Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 Desperate for him to at least get 20 league goals which he really ought to do, at one point it was looking like 25-30 but it was inevitable that teams would start focusing so much on him and it's meant he's got nowhere near as many opportunities to score.
