whilst obviously I haven't a clue what's going on with the transfer negotiations, if at all tbh,- this signing is still speculation through media outlets- I can't help but wonder why at Leicester we always seem to faff about with them. Nothing straight forward. Always seem to be arguing with selling clubs about, in the scheme of things relatively small sums of money that could prevent us from buying a decent player we need and giving other clubs the green light to come in and hijack these deals. Can only think that this one could be dependent on what Kante decides to do, and we are just covering all bases with options either way. Players and selling clubs aren't going to wait forever surely? Despite an offer from West Ham close to € 15M transmitted to Nice this weekend the Riviera mid Nampalys Mendy (23 years, under contract until June 2017) should see its wish to join Leicester grant. The "Gym" would be very close to an agreement with the English Champion. The French international hopes should even go to Leicester on Monday finalize details of his transfer. As disclosed on May 17, Claudio Ranieri, coach of the Foxes, Mendy had made one of his summer priorities. The Italian coach had the player under his direction in Monaco and he had tried to recruit him to Leicester last summer.

I suppose this should go in a general transfer thread, but these rumours in June are generally rubbish. Wait until 1st July when suddenly a lot starts happening. Sites like HITC and Sports Witness etc are all poor with regards to the truth. Better to wait from people like John Percy.
