If we've been watching him over a year, then that shows we're keen on him and it's not just a rushed buy. So I can't see it as much of a gamble in the grand scheme of things.

So I'd say he is capable at this level yes Is this actually true? I'd be very surprised if James was being watched for England last year. At the point of the Soton game we were still in the relegation zone, as if James would have been called up before players like Noble etc. He is a good player but nothing to have made him stand out for England

Offer him £150k a week or don't sell if he doesn't have a release clause, the guy is world class... Almost impossible to replace. If anyone thinks different they are pretty deluded... Sorry.
