Vardy

In recent times Arsenal are proven bottlers and haven't looked like winning a league title... now that doesn't make them less than us they are clearly bigger and better I know that. But my point is they aren't winning a league title with Wenger anymore... I can almost guarantee it

Don't really care anymore.

Been superb, but it's all about attitude and want to carry on playing for the team.

I don't care either. I've come to terms with it. He's done well for us but I'm not bothered anymore if he leaves or not.

If we sign a striker this week people will quickly move on from this.

All of you with City shirts with "Vardy" on it, if he leaves, are you going to change it to "Mardy" ?

No.

Changing it to, "Two-faced, pikey-faced, money-grabbing, gutter-dwelling, git."

*I don't have a Vardy shirt.

What I find funny is all the people saying Vardy shouldn't be insulted as if he's some Muhammad Ali esque legend. He isn't. He had one good season and that happened to come when a load of other players had a great season too. The common denominator is Ranieri, not ****ing Vardy. The guy is a chav bell-end and he can do one. While Kante and Mahrez look actual class, Vardy to me seems like a one season wonder candidate and I think if the system isn't right for him, which it won't be at arsenal, he won't do well.

What are you on about. Look at the size of Arsenal and then look at the size of us. Who consistently finishes top four, who has more chance of winning stuff?

We've won the league and suddenly some of you talk as if we're going to dominate the league forever more... Blackburn won the league in 95 and Shearer left in 96. Should he have not moved on then?

Shearer moved from a side which had just finished 7th to his home town club who'd just finished second for a world record fee.

Obviously Arsenal is a big opportunity for him both financially and in terms of prestige, and I agree with your point that Arsenal is a step up, but that Shearer comparison isnt a good one.

Top four doesn't win trophies, first wins trophies. Arsenal get top four consistently, but they're not a title winning club these days, the mentality to put up a proper challenge isn't there. If it were man city we were talking about fair enough, far more chance of winning trophies there, but under a specialist in failure? If he's moving for footballing reasons it's for regular CL football, not for silverware.

target for top teams is top 4 each year to get CL. Anything else to win titles is great but they will always be top 4. They are a big club

But he is a club legend right?

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he signed an improved contract with us. Sounds like his agent has alerted other clubs to his release clause, speculation has risen, Leicester have panicked and have been left with no choice other than to up his wages to 100k a week. I might be wrong and he might be holding an Arsenal shirt at 6pm but there is something telling me that his agent has played a blinder here.

Why would you not want to play for cloudio Can't see wenger saying dilly ding dilly dong.

And the fans would never have dinosaur on the terraces

How many have we won?

Depends how you post it mate.

1 league title in 1 season

0 league titles in 11 seasons

However it suits you but a couple of FA cups wont blind me or any Arsenal fan from the 8 years they went winning nothing.

They are underdogs for silverware these days.

But he's a lovely guy and will under no circumstances be a one season wonder if he stays I take it?

Another thing to point out is that he is definitely too butters for Arsenals dressing room selfies.

Ozil isn't a painting but he makes effort, Vardy is just a goal goblin.

I've not argued that, and guaranteed CL football is more than we can realistically offer, but moving to them isn't going to win titles so long as Wenger and Kronke are there. He'd be moving for regular CL football, not silverware.

Arsenal are a big club but have a good percentage of tin pot fans.

Problem is under Wenger they went  to being an exciting, winning club to, over a period of some time, safely does it also rans with a constantly bad injury record.

Buying a striker who has shone in a team that has a different philosophy both on and off the pitch probably will not alter them not winning what they crave anymore and what happens if Wenger gets removed and the next manager does not rate him?

Not to me. Not any more. He had one stand out season and now it looks like he's leaving at the first opportunity after sending signals that he was different. Regardless of how great he was this season, that discounts him as a legend in my eyes.

Another bitter person who's just talking nonsense because he's upset.

Some of you need to grow up.

it really does sound like his agent has whored him out to clubs, to force us to make a move to improve his contract.

Surely it has worked & the club will give him a new contract.
