Don't they have about 15 fancy dress days per season, where its become a bit of a ritual to come dressed as a red chair?

haha i like that, thats good fun lol

Former QPR winger Trevor Sinclair on BBC Radio 5 live: "I am a big believer in karma. He has won the Premier League, he is happy and has a great group of brothers around him. He is settled, so why move?

"When you are a striker you can be in top form but then go to a club, not hit the ground running and then it can gobble you up. I would stay where he is."

There are probably other things to worry about, but Sinclair does not understand the concept of Karma. SACK HIM.

Why did we agree to such an low release cause? Was it because Vardy or his agent demanded it so he had the opportunity to talk to a bigger club? It's unbelievable we are losing a 24 goal striker for such a low fee

Remember when Cambiasso left, everyone thought it was over then... just saying, got to be positive again... walsh knows what he is doing

Agree with this 100%.

I was gutted when cambiasso left, thought we were doomed without him and he couldn't be replaced.

Then we get a rejuvenated drinky and some small french guy I'd never heard of.

Think things turned out OK last season....

Can't believe how quickly this has transpired to be honest, it's clearly a money thing/missus wants to live the London high life.

I thought there was still a little bit of loyalty left in the game, how wrong was I.

There is, with certain players. Le Tissier and Gerrard played for their hometown clubs. Vardy has no connection with Leicester at all - we signed him and he helped us win two league titles. That's it - People talk as if he was born on Filbert Street and supports Leicester.

Players have always moved to rival clubs. Birmingham to Villa, Liverpool to Everton, Rangers to Celtic. The only thing that's changed with football is the lifestyle.

We've all been watching football long enough to know there isn't.

I hope when we sign a new striker and he bags 30 next season people don't expect any loyalty.

Football clubs are not loyal to players and players are not loyal to football clubs. Case in point RDL who has done fantastic for us will shipped out this summer, and nobody here will care.

Yeah good point. Can't say I blame him for taking up such a ridiculous offer (had a brilliant season but no way is he worth them wages)

Just hope our fans don't lay into him when he comes back next season, life goes on and we'll find a replacement. Musa and/or Slimani would be ideal.

Stay out go, he helped us do something we ourselves would have no believed last September.

We're not one player. If we ever were, we were destined to failure. Onwards and upwards. The doctor will deliver.

8) April fools, we know you can't actually read.

9) you can get away with all that at leicester, first bit of chaviness at arsenal and your a goner.

If he does go, I wonder if the scales will fall from some eyes in here and we might finally admit that JV does actually tend to go down like a sack of spuds in the box looking for a peno.

I've always thought it. It was just more tolerable and forgivable when the penalties were awarded to Leicester.

It will probably be welcomed if he wins a load of penos, however disputed, for England at the Euros.

If, however, he is wearing an Arsenal shirt and runs into Wes's leg next season at the KP, we won't see the funny side.

:(

I was thinking this last night. Certain people on here who think every time he falls over its a cast iron penalty but every foul we concede is a plot against us by the FA are going to be very conflicted next season.

Remember this, if we wanted him enough we would simply match any contract offer from Arsenal.

Still might not be enough to convince him to stay. Anyhow, the owners are businessmen and tying down an aging 29 year old striker who relies heavily on speed stamina and being sharp off 5 yards on a 4 year 140k deal would be totally irresponsible

It is not so much that he is leaving, it is just the manner of his leaving.

If he had said just after winning the title, that he wanted to move on and try his hand else where peeps would have been a bit down but accepted this.

That he spouted such crap about being happy here etc., whilst his agent was hawking him around is what is going to turn a lot of peeps against him.

It reminds me of the Brian Little fiasco, where a manager who had made himself a hero to the fans turned peeps against him by the manner of his leaving, oh, he also wrote a book too which I still have

My point exactly, he isn't worth that amount. I know our owners have done a fantastic job of letting people forget how rich they are, but if they wanted something enough it would happen, within reason ofcourse :P

Very true.

Look at the lengths the club has gone in the past to make him become the player he is today etc

We have shown a lot of faith in him throughout the years, he has struggled to settle, was close to quitting football, turning up to training drunk - for the club to have stuck by him and gave him everything he wanted shows how much the club wanted him.

Maybe he has got too big for his own boots and the club have realised this now?

Don't you mean a gooner?

95 pages - come on, only a few hours to go!

by the way, when vardy leaves, we have Leo and shinji up top. 2 'strikers'

Coming up with two names as replacments (musa plays quite wide btw) isn't really going to do it. We need to sign two proper strikers now and musa might be required in addition to these.

They're multi-billionaires, they will get what they want, whether it be the player or a replacement, for sure.

I remember I was in Germany when Big Nige got sacked, was absolutely heartbroken, had to explain to the German family I was staying with why I was so gutted. Then we got in Ranieri and smashed the Premier League. I'm heartbroken now Vardy's going but I know deep down that we'll sign Shane Long and demolish Bayern in the Champions League final.

Why are people so angry?

I've seen no evidence that he has lied. There are no quotes saying "I'll be at Leicester next season".

If him leaving partly because of a ****load of extra money is greedy then we're all greedy. 50% payrise. Yes, thanks.

If him leaving for an opportunity to play for a much bigger club is disloyal then people who choose to support Leicester City ought to recalibrate their expectations.

Anybody blaming his wife - you're essentially a retard.

It is possible that he does feel an affinity for the club but wants to test himself somewhere else, somewhere bigger where the expectations are always higher. Emile Heskey has an affinity for the club but still went when a big club came calling. If I were a professional footballer and had achieved something with Leicester City which was likely only happen once then turned down a move to a truly massive club, I'd spend my retirement wondering just how much more I could have done had I not bottled to opportunity.

From less than a month ago.  http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Jamie-Vardy-vows-stay-Leicester-City/story-29250614-detail/story.html

What is annoying is that it has came out of the blue and contradicts the comments that came out at his academy launch and as other have said, we aren't getting that good of a deal, especially if 5m or so will go to Fleetwood.  Nothing about this transfer benefits City, thats what leaves a sour taste in my mouth.  Wenger hasn't found a gem on the cheap like we did, he will get our star player for peanuts because of the work of agents.

His new wife is loving the media attention, if she didn't want to get comments from idiots she should set her twitter to private and not keep posting troll comments knowing it will wind people up.  She will be on the next Celeb Big Brother.
