Mike Oxlong Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Arsenal Forum Vardy thread well over 100 pages earlier this morning, helped by contributions on what a goods signing Kane would be and the merits or otherwise of wiping your arse with your hand in foreign countries that do not provide toilet paper
Cropwellfox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 The more I think about this, all the media attention, film, front cover of Hello, stupid lookalike, new best mate Wilshere, a big recipe for Vardy going all Billy Bigbollocks. Thats not the sort of character we want in the dressing room when things go a bit wrong, which they will at some point. Take the money, reinvest and chuckle when we watch his hammy go by mid September at the graveyard for English strikers.
theessexfox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Their thread is at 115 pages already! COME ON PEOPLE WE CAN DO THIS They have 2296 replies, we're way past 2800
Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Whilst Claudio has praised him in the past, he and the scouting staff know their shit. If they don't match the Arse offer it will be for a reason
foxes21 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 For anyone saying he's not worth 100k/120k a week or whatever.. Iain Wright played at a high level for Arsenal from 28, to the age of 35. I honestly believe Vardy can keep his form going with us for another 4-5 years. If he can do that, the 100k a week would be well spent.
Jimothy Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 He chose to walk out on us too. And he didn't even help win us a title. Tbf he signed a 1 year deal, reached the end of it and decided to try something different, he hasn't pimped himself out any club that can offer him a slightly higher wage.
Matt Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Apparently we've offered him a new deal and it's all up to him to decide where he wants to go now. Source.
Cunningfox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Is it guaranteed now? United with Mourinho, City with Pep, Spurs look a better side that are getting better with age. Then Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea. Knockout? So last 16 and occasion quarter final before being thrashed? Arsenal aren't that attractive, are not really showing signs of going places. It's money. And if picking him up as a non league player, and helping him become a premier league champion doesn't gain loyalty, nothing will. He is showing his scumbag side unfortunately, although I personally think it's outside influences. Wife/Agent. Meant to put a smiley on the end of my post as it was very much tongue in cheek.. my point being that they never finish first. But yes you're right even 4th isn't guaranteed. This is clearly about bagful a of cash rather than any guarantee of silverware. Vardy will never have another chance to wear a shirt with Champions badge on the sleeve.
Poznan34 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 It's not about loyalty, it's because he would be going back on his word.
Finnaldo Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 https://twitter.com/lauriewhitwell/status/739390409697333248 So basically we've all hated him and his wife but facts are, only the release clause is met and he hasn't even responded yet? Told you all before, not happening.
artursteppe Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Italian press saying 38m Euros for buyout, nearly £30m. That would make me feel a whole lot better. Another thing, to all those who say Vardy can do what he likes, move on or stay, he owes us nothing - I say we owe him nothing, we can choose whether we as fans deride him or clap him when he returns in an Arsenal shirt. That is our choice!
lgfualol Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Not sure what we should do as a club. Either offer him loads to keep him, and have every agent of all our players do the same thing as Vardy, or let him go and show we're not going to be pushovers.
Koke Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Giroud practically confirmed Vardy will be signing for them
KFS Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 https://twitter.com/lauriewhitwell/status/739390409697333248 Agent could be the biggest winner here
apple987 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 I personally don't want him to stay after this. This is all very reminiscent of the whole Rooney saga to get a new deal and look what happened to him after that.
TJB-fox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 I wouldn't go over 100k a week. Don't match arsenals wages, no player is bigger than Leicester city ( Apart from Wes Morgan obviously). Be extremely buzzing if he stays but wonder to what extent this will tarnish his relations with players/staff and Obviously fans
Webbo Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Meant to put a smiley on the end of my post as it was very much tongue in cheek.. my point being that they never finish first. Vardy will never have another chance to wear a shirt with Champions badge on the sleeve. It's nice to give the arrogant wanquers who support the big clubs a bit of stick while we have the chance, but does anyone really believe Arsenal have less chance of winning silverware than us?
foxes21 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 So basically we've all hated him and his wife but facts are, only the release clause is met and he hasn't even responded yet? Told you all before, not happening. Well said
