I'd be fascinated to hear their new line in excuses when we retained our title and what Wenger thought the referees "didn't see" this time, despite Arsenal's perpetual prompting! . The "Misfits" could then go on to win the Champions League and, after the presentation, we could put the whole lot up for auction to the best bidder so as to give someone else a chance of unexpected fame and fortune the following season. It would save the old squad having the time to get pissed off and start hankering for more money. Walshy and co would become the first scouts to have a statue outside the ground as a thankyou!. Or, realistically, we could try and keep hold of our players? Yes - I get it - we were underdogs and we won the league, but could you ever see Barcelona selling Messi, Neymar and Suarez for a laugh and still claiming they'd be able to win La Liga? Too many people are taking for granted what we've done this season and acting like we can lose our best players and just carry on where we left off and everything will be fine. I can tell you now - we will be in for a rude awakening next season if that's the attitude we take.
