Just been reading on the BBC website that Fleetwood will pocket £6.8m from the sell-on clause.

Does this come out of the £20m paid to Leicester or is it in addition?

Apparently Halifax will also benefit, not sure whether their share comes out of Fleetwood's, or ours, or...??

Arsenal pay a set fee and we have to pay it forward to Fleetwood if it was part of our agreement when we signed him.

Reports circulating that he is staying following the upgraded LC offer. Hope that its true but also hope its not going break the wage structure.

Reports have been circulating for 5 days. People are just guessing.

If he'd signed anything it would surely be news and not rumours by now.

They aren't privy to any info it's all based on betting patterns. Obviously someone out there has lumped on him to stay which has moved the odds

And that my friend is "information we don't have".

It might be someone like John Cross who tried to lump on or an ITK, for one reason or another they've got some sort of information to move the price to 9/4.

If you think they've gone 1/10 to 9/4 just because they changed their minds then more the fool you.

They obviously are privy to information the rest of us aren't.

In terms of betting flow, I can't imagine it's a huge market - plus the direction of bets are likely to be in line with the lean of press speculation, so it probably doesn't take a huge amount of money to change the odds being offered.

The only thing the SkyBet odds really tell us is the weight of punting opinion at this point is with us.

There's no way any kind of deal has been done between us and Halifax. Infinitely more likely that Fleetwood agreed to give Halifax (eg) 10% of whatever they make out of him.

Could be in for £500k if that guess is true, and the Fleetwood 25% reports are true, and he goes for £20m.

What an oddly negative thing for Wenger to say.

This is all banter from Wenger trying to destabilize England head of the Euros.

Watch him accept a bid for Wilshere and throw in bids for a few other players on Friday just to screw with them.

of course it's gonna break the wage structure, other than the reported new offer to Kasper, no one other than Vardy himself is on anything like that sort of money, but if we want to keep this side together and mix it with the big boys for more than one season the wage bill has to increase, we can't compete in the CL buy paying players 10k  a week, we have increased revenue and will use it in the way we see best.

That said, we may have to tolerate a few more release clauses if we want the option to reduce wages if it goes tit's up. But this squad has made history and has a chance at a bit more, I for one would love to see this side with a few additions to the squad take the field in sept in a CL game and if money helps keep it together then so be it.

@@Kitchandro on a side note, what bit of commentary does ''Can you believe this team? Defeat is not in their vocabulary'' apply too? - nice epic line

My Hollywood sources have told me that Vardy is staying. In fact Leonardo Dicaprio who is playing Jamie Vardy in the movie filmed the scene this morning.

Depends on the extact agreement, but I think a clause saying that a percentage of sale or profit (could be either) is payable to the previous club. As far as I understand it, we only have an obligation to Fleetwood, but they may in turn have one to his previous club, depending on the agreement made at the time.

So for example, if it is 20% of next sale payable to Fleetwood and he his sold for £25M then we owe Fleetwood £5m
