Community Shield 2016

For this game, and the season ahead, I'd like to see this team.

                              KS

Simpson   - Huth    - Morgan      - Fuchs

Albrighton - Mendy - Drinkwater - Mahrez

                   Musa   - Vardy

From the Barca game, I think Musa can operate behind Vardy. He picked the ball up from inside his own half and scored. So he can sit further back, and given how he took those goals, I think he'll be more of a goal threat than Shinji. Vardy should obviously be sitting somewhere further up the field, waiting for the ball to be pinged over his shoulder. So, I think they'll complement each other well.

I really am hoping Mendy can step-up and provide a lot of energy in the midfield. Albrighton has to start too. He was so solid last season. As someone else pointed out (and like the thread I started) his crosses can be a bit wasted because we have a relatively short team. So, bring on Gray/Schlupp as a sub to bring on more pace and randomness, that can open up defences, especially when they start to get tired.

Definitely got to go with the the same defence that was so successful as last season. But have Hernandez and Chilwell ready to deputise, and probably take over as the season progresses. Amartey is not a RB. I want him to succeed, I don't see where at the moment.

While I think this is an odd cup, I think it is a good exercise, to test the players in a somewhat competitive match. I do think both of us want to win, so it should be a good match.

I woke up feeling quite apathetic about going to Wembley, which is strange. In the last few minutes, however, the excitement has hit me like a train! COYB!

The West End show was very good. Just woke up, a little hungover, in the hotel and gonna potter about until it's time for the main event of the weekend!

I'm going for a good, open game, but a Utd win...3-2

yes completely agree with this line up. would love to see Musa and Vardy together with Mahrez too, that should scare any defence!

still think we will start with Vards and Shinji up front and bring on Musa early in the second half.

Have a feeling it's going to be a high scoring game. 3-2 win for us.

Standing on the platform at Gatwick station loads of Mancs about.

Will be interesting to see who makes up the bench today, think the fielded team will be as last year but with Mendy in for Kante.

No, you need to walk to Euston Square tube station.  Come out of the station on to the main road (Euston Road), cross over, turn right, 5 mins walk

Thanks for this....I've just walked up and checked this out and you are spot on here. The 'Euston Square' tube station isn't in Euston Square at all. It's about five mins further out on the Euston Road. When you get to Euston station, come out of Euston Square completely (beware, there is an underground at Euston station too), turn onto the Euston Road (there are a couple of small signs) and walk up Euston Road. The entrance to the station is on the same side of the road.

Hope that helps...

Tube is the Metropolitan line...takes c. 34 mins to get to Wembley

What TV is this on? Not on Sky Sports!?

How do I watch this later?

BT 2

expect to see see okaz behind vards or musa.

i doubt we will see musa and vards together. They are needed to play the same role up top stretching their defence so they sit deep. Otherwise their defence sits on half way line and we have to sit on the edge of our box.

Don't think JV can play 90 yet
