Vindaloo FOX Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 no thanks !! if you have forgot let me remind you we are Champions League now .
Gerard Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 I think we dodged a bullit with Dragovic. Hinteregger is better as Fuchs will doubtless confirm. Interesting you think Dragovic is overrated? I can't comment myself as I've only watched him for about 45 mins against Man City. Keane would be a disappointment though after being linked with centre halves in the £15m-£20m bracket, it looked like one area we were determined to bring in top quality.
teblin Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 In that team we had a crap Kane too. Players can progress. Centre back get better with age
StanSP Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 In that team we had a crap Kane too. Players can progress. Centre back get better with age Keane's stayed in the Championship. Kane has progressed to become a leading striker for a big club and his country. We're in the Champions League now. I'd want better than Michael Keane to go along with Morgan and Huth.
ALC Fox Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 Wes Morgan was a Championship player until he turned 30. That's all I'm saying.
ealingfox Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 Ok now Im starting to get the tiniest bit worried about our scouting. Im sure it will work out ok in the end as the last few windows have seemed underwhelming but turned out immense but where's the AMBISHUN? Dragovic looked toilet against Hungary the other day tbf.
dbtcity Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 What has happened to the deal to bring Hernandez here thought he was back up for Morgan and Huth. I've noticed on Hernandez insta he's been writing quite a lot of English along with his pics #stalkeralert
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 10million? Jesus christ. The worlds gone mad. YepMega over inflated fees
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 I thought when he was here he was a good lad who probably benefited being alongside Morgan. We had him 4/3 years ago now so he's progressed well by the sounds of it. I would be surprised if Burnley sold Keane if I'm honest. If he were to sign though, he would continue to learn off two Premier League proven defenders in Huth Morgan & and potentially Hernandez and his qualities having played to a high level. Not doubting he has a bright future though, being in the England set up.
AKCJ Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 Wes Morgan was a Championship player until he turned 30. That's all I'm saying. This. Hate seeing our fans being all snobby, forgetting what our squad is actually made up of. If Walsh reckons he's progressed enough then, frankly, I don't care what anyone else thinks.
StanSP Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 This. Hate seeing our fans being all snobby, forgetting what our squad is actually made up of. If Walsh reckons he's progressed enough then, frankly, I don't care what anyone else thinks. i don't forget for one moment what we're made of. but we have to progress and I don't think signing Keane helps us so significantly. And for £10m?

But you can't accept that Walsh knows what he's doing? If he thinks a player fits our team then I don't care how much we spend. I personally doubt this article, but nobody would be in position to turn their noses up at one of the Championship's best defenders who happens to be English and very young.

Just my opinion about Keane. Obviously Walsh knows what he's doing, I don't need to justify that
dbtcity Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 10m is peanuts if he carries on his progression, just look at stones.... If he has a couple of decent seasons with us the big 4 will all be after him for 30/40m, he's got everything in his locker to be every bit an England CB in the next few years! You could see his quality when he was on loan with us and he's had another couple of seasons where he's played a large % of Burnley games to develop even more, I'd sooner spend 10m on him than 15/20m on dragovic
ealingfox Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 To be fair I'll happily admit that if his name was Michaelo Keanio and we were linked with a 10m move for him from the Champions of Liga II, 2. Bundesliga or Serie B I'd be happy about this.
CosbehFox Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 Ok now Im starting to get the tiniest bit worried about our scouting. Yeah because every media rumour has defo been watched by our scouting staff
ealingfox Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 Yeah because every media rumour has defo been watched by our scouting staff Yeah im not suggesting that but as little as it means it would be nice to have a couple of slightly more exciting rumours even if they are just that. We are the Champions, will be in the CL next year and our stock will never be higher. If we can't attract top players now, even if its just the one, then we never will.
Richmondfox Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 Burnley wouldn't want to sell, it will be his agent just trying to get him a prem wage.
Fox92 Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 £10m for Michael Keane! Has the world gone mad?! Football went mad years ago. £10m is nothing these days. *not that I'm saying he's worth it. This is a rumour and it won't even be true.
