Hull City Match Thread

Had the chances but look like we're lacking confidence in possession. I actually think we're missing Huth's solidity at the back, Morgan looks a little lost without him. Sucker punch of a goal but how many times was it like this at the start of last season? Good start to the second half and we'll take the game.

It's good to see that whatever happens to this club the match threads are consistently pessimistic, knee-jerk, reactionary rubbish.

Jesus, calm down, 45 minutes in and some of you are embarrassing, not the team.

Only we could be the first PL to lose the first game. But seriously this is terrible, Vardy should have a brace....it will be a bloody disgrace if lose his.

Some proper tarts in this thread.

The type you never see if we're winning.

**** off you fairweather wankers.

Absolutely pathetic first half for champions. Cant string passes,  no real  communication between players and runs. Silly bookings.

Credit to hull they holding their own.

I expect them to park the whole  bus second half which will  make it harder for us to score.

Mahrez is not himself  but the same could be said for most of the boys tonight. We play well with backs against the wall so plenty to play for. Come on foxes!

No pressure on the opposition,  looking a bit lazy at times. Marhez passes always seem to go to the opposition. Schmeical looks overweight and despite the one good save is flapping about yet again with poor distribution. Musa looking good but Jamie just a bit ring rusty. King nowhere to be seen would prefer to see Armartey. Really need to come out guns blazing after a huge bollicking.

You're the prat if you can't see it!

Firstly it's the first game of the season. To say even try and compare 45 minutes against a whole campaign is stupid.

Second, we never dominate possession, so the fact they've had spells of possession isn't surprising. But we've created plenty. Vardy looks rusty and has missed a couple he should have scored, he'll improve the more he plays.

Should have scored one or two of those good chances, seem a bit uncomposed, will be much harder now as Dull can sit deep. There is some good one touch stuff in there that's not quite coming off, sometimes simplifying it would be better. Don't panic, Vards can't miss any more chances surely.

musa has looked good on the plus side.

haven't read the thread but are we blaming king yet? come on let's blame king.

Kante going to finish the chances and clear corners then? lol

I think we were more comfortable as a team, knowing Kante was around to clear things up should we be opened up. He made our defence far better than they actually are individually, especially in the full back area. Replacing the gap he left with King is just asking for trouble, three man midfield was needed until we have an able replacement (if one exists).

King needs to come off lads he is all at sea here

him and Drinky not working , no aggression and lacking bite !

Half time will be interesting

we are making chances and will improve

2-1

Considering the fun we had last season, staying up this year would be fine for me.  But if we lose this match that will genuinely be an embarrassment that will send shivers through the training ground.  Hull City are an absolute abomination at the minute.

I'm sorry but it happens time and time and time again.  Start with King, give the opposition a 1-0 head start.

Some positives and good moves HOWEVER we are moving the ball far too slow! Not enough pace and can see Hull sticking 10 men behind the ball at all times 2nd half.

A point out of this wouldn't be the worst result atm...

Everyone is saying take gray off, yes he's been poor but at least he's trying unlike mahrez

Mahrez is putting in a shift.

People laughed when I said not to start Mahrez in this game & to go with Albrighton RW & Schlupp LW

we saw at Norwich away last year, albrighton & schlupp at RW & LW gives us a good balance.
