Otherwise it seems a good £6-7mill too much to me. Be surprised if he wants to leave a regular CL team for us though. He was desperate to go there 2 years ago...

But in the ever evolving financial aspect of football how is 'too much' defined? if we get him and he helps us to qualify for champions league football again ( cant contemplate champions again!) would we be saying he cost us too much then?

Agree with this... but surely if this rumour was just plucked out of a dogs rear end he would deny we had an interest in signing him?
