This isn't happening. N'Zonzi is happy in Spain. The reason why he left Stoke is because he doesn't like the Premier league because it isn't as technical as Spain and he has many friends in the Sevilla dressing room so it isn't like the Kante situation. Sampaoli also sees him as a key player for Sevilla. My gut feeling is that this is a diversion for another signing.

He played in it for 6 and a half years. That's a long time if he didn't like it.

Oh please... That's BS

Ranieri has identified the Sevilla midfielder as a potential signing before the transfer window closes after being alerted that Nzonzi wants to return to England.

Hope that's true!

The former Blackburn and Stoke midfielder is the subject of a £25million bid from the Foxes as they continue to try and overcome the absence ofN’Golo Kante now that he has joined Chelsea.

The fee would break the Foxes’ club record for a third time in quick succession and the bid has to be accepted as it meets N’Zonzi’s minimum fee release clause.

Monaco are also believed to be interested. However, N’Zonzi is reportedly keen on returning to England.

Seems that we're in the driving seat currently.

Need to do things quick obviously as stuff can change in a flash in football.

He could swap stories with Simpson.:whistle:

Stoke City: Former midfielder Steven Nzonzi was in police custody during club's awards night

"Now details of his absence have been revealed – as Nzonzi is set to stand trial accused of assaulting his wife."

Nice that he and Danny Simpson will have something in common.

The Foxes owners are reported to have sanctioned Ranieri to go ahead and push for the transfer.

source?

read Sevillas forum about Nzonzis potential transfer

they  are bit disappointed  about losing three best players in a year (krychowiak-nzonzi and iborra) and that there is quit little time for new signing

they rate him but understand  that he has release clause and 30mil euro is not little money for la liga club

so we are waiting for official bid

Pretty sure his last post was that Schlupp to WBA was a done deal and that Spurs Scout was also done weeks ago too...  So not sure he is always that accurate to be fair but still seemed to get more right than wrong. Whether he was just a really good guesser on the rumours, or genuinely had some inside info. Shame if gone as was always a poster I looked for to add fuel to a solid rumour!

He was a target previously and has attributes the club clearly valued. Having watched him for Sevilla I actually think he's improved as a player. Obviously he choose Sevilla over us at that point as they were in the UCL and held a higher reputation.

Based on on what I was told recently I could see us dipping our toe in the water.
