Should still try pushing through a season long loan with an option of a permanent transfer at the end of the season. Sporting have surely got themselves an unhappy player now, who no doubt will be punished in some way from Sporting for the way he dealt with this.

I no i cant believe we have let him go and got no 1 in to replace i think we have made a massive mistake here we just all need to pray drinkwater comes back from England ok and doesn't get injured till at least January

Very dramatic regarding the Inler situation. We have Drinky, Amartey, Mendy, King & James is looking good in the 21's. If we were to loan out James then I would be slightly concerned but we have more than enough cover for now.

Sometimes he is capable. Other times you don't even know he is on the pitch which could be bad if we're playing an important game. That's my concern with King anyway.

Drinkwater scores about as much as King does nowadays too.

Absolutely spot-on. Love Andy King - but he can 'go missing' for huge periods of the game. Still think we'll be okay - plenty in the squad with flexibility to swop into different positions and do an excellent job.

Were Portugal training in Porto? Ive got a mate who works at East Midlands and they had a request for a private jet from Porto to land at the airport and a taxi scheduled to go directly to the KP.

That would be fine if we had a loan window but we don't. Even loans on the prem have to be done in the TW.

Very disappointed we missed out on him as the options are:

Drinky - Superb but 3 games a week? He will be fecked in no time.

Amartay - Looked superb against Swansea long may it continue.

Mendy - Injured.

King - Lets be honest he is gash.

James - Not played for over 18 months and went off the other night.

Inler - Daft letting him go on loan when he has ULC experience.

Inler was a permanent deal.

Just because Drinks will start every game, he doesn't have to finish them. Mendy would be perfectly capable after an hour to come on, or even King as he did last season.

It may be 3 games in a week, but not 270 minutes of football as such.

Still think we need a freebie in ie. Flaming, would do a job.

Kaputska deserves a shot too. We paid £7 million, which is a decent amount that would have drawn comment in any other season. A creative flair player that I am looking forward to seeing.

Yeah. The Portuguese Football Team's Facebook page posted a photo of Silva later on last night saying "Goodbye Porto" once they'd finished training.

Do not be surprised if we consider any free agents that are still without a club. Flamini could be one of them.

Not sure of the rules but I think they can sign but not be registered until Jan?

Am I missing something? I remain perplexed...why on earth was it 'daft' to let Inler go when he was earning zillions and wasn't anywhere near the first team anyway? Why?

lol

We WEREN'T PLAYING HIM.....

We have James out, we have Mendy out and STILL Inler wasn't featuring.

I'm scratching mi head here. Either it's nits, psoriasis or I get ever more concerned as to the views of our fans?

He's not gash, but he's certainly nowhere near good enough for the standard we are aiming at now.

Presumably no reason why we couldn't agree a loan deal in the short term with an option on either club to force the other to go ahead with a sale in January at an agreed price.  Not sure if we'd have the appetite for that, though.

Inler was one injury/suspension/3 games in a week away from game time.

Considering we're light on midfielders and James looks knackered you could see why some will have questions. Not to mention the Champions League experience and the fact we've lost a 'captain'.

Nope you're missing nothing he wasn't good enough for us and the style of football we play.

Absolutely no point in keeping him ....    No point at all.

But I'd get your head checked for nits Col if you need to scratch it a lot ....     Nasty little buggers !
