Guest CityFan 06 Posted 1 September 2016 Posted 1 September 2016 Good news for a very solid RB. Outstanding last year and another newly contracted player to add to the list. http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/2016-17/danny-simpson-signs-new-three-year-deal-3283461.aspx
blue army 1988 Posted 1 September 2016 Posted 1 September 2016 Glad he's signed a new deal. Heard a rumour that West Ham put a 5 mill bid in for him late last night.
filbertway Posted 1 September 2016 Posted 1 September 2016 Nice one Danny. Can be improved upon, but definitely deserves a nice little payrise after playing a big part in last seasons defence.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 1 September 2016 Posted 1 September 2016 Hopefully he matured last season in more ways than one. Has way exceeded most people's expectations of how good he could be
theessexfox Posted 1 September 2016 Posted 1 September 2016 Grown into a rock solid right-back and doesn't get the credit he deserves for the improvement of his footballing performances.
Fox 4 Life Posted 1 September 2016 Posted 1 September 2016 Very well deserved, he is one of our most consistent performers and whilst not spectacular does everything needed of him as a RB.
simpmeister Posted 1 September 2016 Posted 1 September 2016 Fantastic last season and looked great against Arsenal and Swansea. Well deserved.
ithuriel Posted 1 September 2016 Posted 1 September 2016 Originally thought he was a waste of time and a cad, matured as a player and hopefully as a person, so good luck and well earned.

TheSomersetFox Posted 1 September 2016 Posted 1 September 2016 Can't believe his turnaround under Ranieri tbh. Warrior and one of my favorite players these days. Fair play to him, really has earned it.
StriderHiryu Posted 1 September 2016 Posted 1 September 2016 Echoing others thoughts, a well deserved new contract! He is sometimes caught out positionally but he's one of us now and part of the legendary team. I also can't fault his commitment to the club or team, he always seems to give it his all. I also loved his celebration last year when winning the title at Vardy's house! It must have meant a lot to him personally having been told he wasn't good enough at Manchester United.
MC Prussian Posted 1 September 2016 Posted 1 September 2016 When I look back at the discussion we had whether we should keep him or not because of his personal problems and tabloid headlines and when I look at how far he's come in the space of maybe one year, I can only congratulate the player for having made such a big step forward. For all the solidity on the field, for his maturity and his reliability, Simpson fully deserves his contract extension.
LanguedocFox Posted 1 September 2016 Posted 1 September 2016 I love the way we are tying in all of the title-winning team. Pity about Kanté, of course, but we seem gradually to be picking off the rest of the first-team squad. I like that.
lgfualol Posted 1 September 2016 Posted 1 September 2016 Puts 100% in every game. Deserved new contract.
woznotwos Posted 1 September 2016 Posted 1 September 2016 Great stuff , pleased for him as he always puts a shift in
norwichfox Posted 1 September 2016 Posted 1 September 2016 One of the biggest impacts early last year was when he got the regular RB spot, glad to see that he's got a 3 year contract.
Strokes Posted 1 September 2016 Posted 1 September 2016 Our best right back since Pontus kaamark, I'm delighted he has been rewarded.
Vardinio'sCat Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 Simpson is usually quite a clever defender, as it turns out, and it makes you wonder why he never really excelled before. Defenders often peak later than other positions, but he looks to me like he always had this in him. We did an awful lot of defending last season, and he was an integral part of that highly successful backline. Arguably the most under-rated defender at the club.
WigstonWanderer Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 Well deserved. Even a bit of fancy footwork from him recently!
desertfox2 Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 Have to say Simpson has grown on me a lot. Well deserved. Went from being the weak link in the side to a very solid right back.
foxy boxing Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 really good news a decent right back who was great for us last season, has improved immensly
