Watford 1-2 Post Match Thread

I keep thinking these losses, these poor performances will give them a kick up the backside, not happening though is it....

Champions of England, We're having a laugh.

There were a list of things wrong with today, same can be applied to the season in general...my patience has worn thin with ranieri's happy go lucky post match interviews too....we've gone from being the mighty ducky to the chuckle ****ing brothers over night.

I'm half temped to say get rid, and there's little counter argument.

January needs to be a drastic midfield overhaul, tired of watching mahrez purposely head toward 2-3 players to try and showcase his elite street football skills, bored of drinkwater not realising his hoof to vardy has been figured out too.

Who will want to come here?

Mahrez and Albrighton are only two decent players today. Schlupp and Gray too I suppose. And Vardy had no service, so can't blame him.

Yeah, sell those two.

Not quite sure what you've been watching mate but I think you'll find you're in the minority.

Still, if you want to continue to pretend that everything is OK and dine out on last season (which is unfortunately all in the past now) then go ahead.

Don't expect me to lend you any tissues when we get relegated.

I disagree.

Feel free to go and boo in Claudio's face, though.

There's definitely something lacking, we weren't terrible but we never looked like scoring. For all the stick that Jeff gets he made more of an impact than Gray.

Look, Pearson was never the best tactician, but fvck me he knew when something was wrong tactically, he tried to change things, they weren't always the right changes (swansea diamond) but fvck me at least they were changes, and at least he knew when something wasn't working.

Makes you wonder what they do in training? All the pics are happy smiles and laughs, then they get on the pitch and play like they've never met.

Problems all come from the middle of the pitch. We ****ed the Summer up bigtime.

Blimey you lot are strange - we played worse than this for months under Pearson and he walked on water with most - now with a Champion winning team on the brink of last 16 in Europe you are all hand wringing - snap out of it, every team has a bad run and stop being cry babies

The most gutting thing is last summer will probably be the only chance we'll get to bring in some world class players to try and push on but we threw 100k pw contracts at average players and bought some utter dross. So disappointing.

I recall when I started 'the dreaded question' thread (about the possibility of relegation) there were some that took the piss and dismissed the thread. I stated I don't think we'll go down...we'll still pick up enough points at home. And I stick by this.

BUT. It is clear there is something fundamentally wrong with us at the moment. We are changing the first team far too often. Amartey is basically rubbish in my opinion, yet Ranieri has again played him today in a 442 formation away from home. And we've lost again. The only player in the side who's scoring goals wasn't even playing today (presumably rested for Brugges at home?). And young Gray only gets a brief outing yet again, for Albrighton who is doing the arse end of nothing recently.

The tinker man appears to be reverting to type. We have not signed enough players of a good enough quality in the summer and we have players like Vardy and Mahrez looking a shadow of the players they were last season. They are looking SO different it's almost farcical. Inexplicable if you like.

Worrying.

It took him about 8 months to figure it out though. Ranieri has had a 3.

Nowhere near good enough, unfortunately. That Jeff was our brightest and most creative player through a half hour cameo at left back speaks volumes.

I can accept losing but the manner in which we've done so with every loss this season has been absolutely pathetic. We're gonna have our pants down in January but it's now money we have to spend to stay in this division.

Dogshit and all the more frustrating given that we know what this set of players are capable of. Can't blame a lack of common sense or complete inability to get footballing basics right on Kante's departure.

This is the product of moving away from all the things Pearson installed and Ranieri having a far more hands on approach.

Not a single sign that Ranieri can turn this around. During the great escape at least we made an effort!
