foxyblue Posted 19 November 2016 Posted 19 November 2016 Should never had gone on that stupid money making international cup.Chelsea did the same last season and it f-cked their season up as it's doing to us.when you don't have a good pre-season here that's what happens,we don't need money that bad.
Ted Maul Posted 19 November 2016 Posted 19 November 2016 Said it before (after every abject away performance), but 4-4-2 isn't the way we should be setting up this season. 3-4-3 for me, it's how we snapped out of our last rut. Amartey doesn't offer much. You know it's bad when you're wishing Andy King was on to bring in a bit of a presence.
Monsell1976 Posted 19 November 2016 Posted 19 November 2016 No game plan, no commitment, no skill, no effort, ****ing no idea. If anyone makes excuses about our season, are well and truly clutching at straws. Relegation battle is a cert, if you play the same team, give or take a player, same clueless tactics, if there is any, and the same effort, how can you expect a different result. Claudio needs to adapt, or I have no sympathy for the flack he's going to get.
The Guvnor Posted 19 November 2016 Posted 19 November 2016 Have we really only got one way of playing (and I don't mean shite) what were our tactics today hoofball? which after 15 minutes you could see was pointless they won everything in the air. Are we incapable of playing a passing game ? all you can hear Claudio shouting is Go Go , really is that it, one dimensional and very poor and to be fair to Jeff looked like the only player capable of getting past a player and getting in behind their defence. I'm going out for a pint!
ozvaldo Posted 19 November 2016 Posted 19 November 2016 The players have no fight, and that needs addressing. However, those of us who are calling for Ranieri to get the boot are justified in doing so. He's sticking with 4-4-2 which just sees us being out-run and therefore out-played week in week out. The tactics are predictable. We seem to have no imagination - every move is obvious. It's been like this all season and he's done nothing about it. We're sterile and unimaginiative. Absolutely awful.
MattCan Posted 19 November 2016 Posted 19 November 2016 CL and Relegation .. gonna be exciting .. good plot for another movie ..

BirminghamFox Posted 19 November 2016 Posted 19 November 2016 at least we'll now get 5000-1 odds on winning the Prem again this year!
Tuna Posted 19 November 2016 Posted 19 November 2016 The champions league excuse is a myth. If these players cannot play twice a week they don't deserve to call themselves professionals. Half of them played saturday/tuesday/saturday in the championship for years. And our CL opponents are only 2 hours flight away.
Lesta2014 Posted 19 November 2016 Posted 19 November 2016 The start to the game absolutely killed us off. I saw small flashes of last season but not enough. We need a settled 11 which I think we can do now, only two extra games before Christmas and no international break compared to last season an if the players cant manage that then they need shooting. On a side note I thought the ref ruined any chance of a good flowing game by constantly giving fouls for nothing. Finally as others have said we need to go with 3 centrally in either defence or midfield away from home. We are too easy to play against at the minute.
Merging Cultures Posted 19 November 2016 Posted 19 November 2016 January CB x 2 CDM CAM ST Simpson is good enough, Fuchs is good enough, Mahrez can be good enough when he wants, Musa/Schlupp/Kaputska/Gray can be decent, Vardy I am never confident in, Slimani is good enough, the GKs are good enough, but we need to sort out the spine and that is the CBs, CM and a dominant ST.
Corky Posted 19 November 2016 Posted 19 November 2016 We're not good enough to carry three or four players or to play collectively at 65-70%. Conceding the first goal in every away game doesn't help as we have no experience of being ahead and controlling the match. We have two massive games coming up in the next fortnight, lose either (or both) and we in are real trouble. This was supposed to be an easier run after Liverpool, Man United, Tottenham and Chelsea- so why haven't things improved?

Is this not one of the arguments against Ranieri? And will strengthen the call for those for want him sacked? We can all see that 442 away from home IS NOT WORKING. Yet he continues to play it.
daddylonglegs Posted 19 November 2016 Posted 19 November 2016 was anyone else just not at all surprised when they scored? Defence is a complete waste of space. Can't see where the next point is coming from.

No, I'm just wondering how those are getting that much stick when they're actually the only ones (with Gray and Fuchs) that actually look like Premier League footballers. You have 0 defense and the holding midfield is, well, non-existent. Today I saw for the first time a guy trying to control the ball with his balls (Amartey). Mahrez will go at the end of the season, don't know for Drinkwater but I also assume that if he wants to make a move, there are a lot of teams who will welcome him wholeheartedly.

Which is effectively it, why not? I'm sure Slimani is enjoying himself? Thats is this league for you. Win today were top half? And then we are attractive? But we didn't win!...
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 19 November 2016 Posted 19 November 2016 Absolutely dog shite. Ref was disgraceful but didn't really cost us the game. Fact we conceded a goal thirty five seconds in is just unforgiveable and not good enough. Have to question the teams motivation which should be at its highest when coming on to the pitch. Must be the first team to have kick off and concede from it seconds later. Terrible. Mahrez can **** off or buck up. Getting greedier and greedier by the week. Says something when Jeff comes on and is the first player to actually run at the opposition with the ball. We're so shit and we're in a relegation battle the way we are playing. Dog shit it was
Tielemans63 Posted 19 November 2016 Posted 19 November 2016 Always thought we'd 'do a Blackburn' and find it difficult but I never thought we'd be this bad. That said, the haste with which some fans have completely turned on the team and the manager is ridiculous.
