LCFC hub Posted 23 January 2017 Posted 23 January 2017 Seriously! After today's reports about his agents speaking out and then hearing this.. £1.7 million won't even buy you his first touch!!
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 23 January 2017 Posted 23 January 2017 Feck me that's hilarious. I know we're not savvy but also not that stupid!! Are we??
Max Power Posted 23 January 2017 Posted 23 January 2017 Dunno what people expected from a small Spanish club. If we are going to sell him it has to be another English club, hopefully in the Championship. Or China.
LCFC hub Posted 23 January 2017 Posted 23 January 2017 If Swansea came back in with a 9 million bid as reported in the summer. Would you take it? Under the current circumstances I think that would be a great offer.
Dan Posted 23 January 2017 Posted 23 January 2017 Lower Spanish sides have low-end Championship budgets. There's no way he'll end up at Alaves permanently this month I don't think. The values are worlds apart.
nnfox Posted 23 January 2017 Posted 23 January 2017 Still think he'll stay and go to Brighton in the summer.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 23 January 2017 Posted 23 January 2017 1.7m is an absolute piss take!! Absolute minimum should be three times that. And that's being well generous.
STUHILL Posted 23 January 2017 Posted 23 January 2017 £1.7million I do feel sorry for Ulloa as those things his agent are saying are likely somewhat true, although maybe things got lost in translation as can't imagine Claudio being silly enough to say we would not buy any other strikers. I actually think more than anything, his unhappiness is due to not being offered a new contract in the summer, like so many others were. He is probably on the same weekly wage he got when first joined us (30k p/w max maybe?) and seeing others get new deals of over triple that, has obviously annoyed him and his agent. I think we need him until the summer. We have too many other important signings to make in defence in this window so adding a striker to that too is not a good option. Give him a new deal, but add in a release clause or something so that he can go in the summer if it is really all about playing time and not money. He will get some games here in the next 6 months, especially if we go back to a 4-4-2. I would start him against Derby if I'm honest.
lcfcsnow Posted 23 January 2017 Posted 23 January 2017 He's 31 and limited as to what he can offer now, the best we can expect is £5 million and that's pushing it. Should have took 9 million if that was actually offered, I have my doubts whether anyone would pay that apart from ourselves.

ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 23 January 2017 Posted 23 January 2017 Are they having a laugh?! That's more like a loan fee!
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 23 January 2017 Posted 23 January 2017 Just remember Nugent just moved for 3 million and he's older and been sat on his arse for the last year. To offer about 15% of the market rate and then get the agent to bleat on is hillarious. It's also a sad inditemen on how the football world views Ulloa if that's the best off being touted. Selling him for that is more damaging for us as it makes us look mugs in the transfer market. It would negatively affect us in all subsequent negotiations. On her bike Alaves - who are you!!!!
Corky Posted 23 January 2017 Posted 23 January 2017 £1.7 million for a bloke with 20 Premier League goals in the past two years? Accept no lower than £5 million.
weller54 Posted 23 January 2017 Posted 23 January 2017 Rudders will be negotiating hard to get them up to 1.8m...
HoustonFox Posted 23 January 2017 Posted 23 January 2017 You guys know that Alaves have no money, right? Selling to europe isn't going to recoup much.

FoxyPalace.com Posted 23 January 2017 Posted 23 January 2017 Would sell for 5 Million to anyone outside the Prem bar China. I think we have had our moneys worth.
foxes21 Posted 23 January 2017 Posted 23 January 2017 What will this do for squad morale, having a player that doesn't want to be here? Ranieri always said he doesn't want players who are unhappy..
weller54 Posted 23 January 2017 Posted 23 January 2017 Think we should keep him.. He'll rip up The Championship next season!
