Not sure how Morgan will be in the future. Back injuries are often difficult to clear up. Can't see him playing again this season, but could be the beginning of the end.

He's not out because of his back.

Thought he was excellent today.

Thought it was worth highlighting as he gets a lot of flak these days but I think he been beginning to look like the old Wes we all know and love the past 2 or 3 games.

Hope he can keep it up.

Could not agree more. I reckon increased competition has encouraged him to up his game. Not that he's ever not trying, but he's playing much better.

Seems to lost a bit of weight recently imo.

But although I still prefer Huth overall - Morgan's confidence will be high from this and predict that he'll have another good season.

Pleased for him, he has been written off time and again on FT, but he really isn't that old for a CB.

Imho, you don't really get physically dominant CB's who are lightening quick on the turn, it's just basic physics.

CB now looks the least of our worries.  Wes has been excellent of late.  If we only ask 2 or 3 games a month from him and Huth, they should stay fit as part of a rotation that can evolve into a Maguire-Dragovic pairing.

Despite the fact we need to be phasing him out, he's probably been our best player this season. We still miss Huth's ability to organise mind you.

I sort of take your point, but I think you could have put it rather better...

I thought he was past it and needed replacing?

Some fans in recent weeks have been fvcking deluded, Wes has been our best defender recently. We all talk about Steve Walsh and Matt Elliott as club legends, Big Wes for me is ahead of them in legend status, he is the best defender I've seen at Leicester City.

He seems much more confident on the ball than I've ever seen him and back to his best defensively.

When he’s playing with Maguire, it’s a lot different to the lottery of which of Morgan or Huth is going to lump it forward. It must make it much easier for him to be able to play with a ball player. In the sense that he has a reliable outlet who can actually play the ball, and that when it’s passed to him by Maguire, it’s not a pass of desperation after being caught in possession à la Huth. This is no slur on Huth as I feel he’d benefit in equal measure should he be playing alongside Maguire.

He also has N'didi and Iborra who both go looking for a pass, they also keep the ball and look to move the ball on upfield. Rather than having DD (who I loved) but for a long time he was either hiding or would get the ball and pass it straight back to Morgan who had to end up launching it.

lol

Just seen what this thread was originally in aid of. They ended up editing him out of the TV advert. Not sure how many public appearances he did in the full pirate costume.

He started the season pretty poorly, but that could have been a carried over issue with his back problems with his back, been solid as a rock for a while now and the amount of times his blocking has saved us a goal is unreal. Still plenty left in the tank I think.

Why did they edit him out?

:wes:

Maybe I'm wrong, he's in this version (along with Rio Ferdinand who is neither a captain nor called Morgan). There was possibly a shortened version on TV which he wasn't in.

Bullshit if they cut him out of the other version.  Never drinking Morgans again

Can we call him a club legend yet or does he still not meet some people's criteria?
