People have wanted to fail from day one it seems, any bad run of form we'd get the usual "he's not good enough", "we need a vocal captain"... like what we've done with him as captain hasn't actually been enough to prove that point as being total nonsense. If he'd headbutted a few people then maybe he would be. His problem is he's been a model pro, quietly going about captaining us through the best years the club has ever had.

Surely it has to be discussed whether he is Leicester's best CB of all time? The bloke probably has 2 bad games a year, which brings out the same morons who have said he isn't good enough from day 1. Other than that he is incredibly consistent and manages to make more blocks than any other player I have ever seen. Don't see any reason why we need to worry at centre half, Morgan looks like he has another 2 years in him at least.

It was the first time I actually believed we were going to win the league. I stood in tears at the full time whistle feeling a complete prat and trying to disguise it from my family. Not sure whether it was the fact I was hungover from a stag do but it just dawned on me that day.

He's captain during Leicester's most successful period, played EVERY MINUTE in our PL title winning season, he's always consistent, a good old fashioned defender whos deserved all the accolades he's won. Not bad for what we paid for him by any stretch of the imagination. We'll miss him when he's gone that's for sure. Big Wes ?

Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 I think it is an incredible stat that he played every minute of the title win season, every minute of every game is a phenomenal record, shared with Kasper but he's a keeper so that isn't as impressive. Morgan's appearance record in his first 4 seasons is incredible 45/46, 45/46, 37/38, 38/38 throw in a crazy summer of back to back international tournaments and you have one hell of a machine.

He really doesn't get enough credit on here, he is a definite "Leicester Legend" and is, without question, the greatest captain we have ever had. He actually comes across as a really decent, humble guy and I think if he were more of a nobhead he might be more popular which is a shame. We love you Wes, thanks for everything you have helped us achieve as a club. X PS - Listening to him just makes me feel I am in a some unmade Shane Meadows film. I live in Scotland now, my family are all born and bred in Leicester and I was born and raised in Burton on Trent so his accent reminds me of home. X

According to transfermarkt, for the same price we paid for Mills, we got: Morgan Schmeichel Vardy Drinkwater Albrighton Fuchs Mahrez So Matt Mills cost the same as 7/11 of a premier league winning side.
