Pearson ruled the players......I wish you would all get over him....we would never have won the bloody league with him in charge and he would never have had to deal with these issues....

Err.. isn't that pretty much what I said?

Some of the hate for Vardy in here. I don't get it.

Regardless of whether he's a nob in his personal life, this season he has been no different to the rest of them... Doesn't look interested, lack of desire and motivation, not good enough, overpaid... All that is down to one man and that's the manager.

So if someone doesn't try it's all down to the manager? Remind me to never employ you.

It's not one person though it's most of, if not all, the team.

Read Vardy's book and if the words " complete bell end " aren't dancing around your mind then you're brain dead.

Sadly a man whose been an absolute hero for us is a complete fcukin helmet. He's a cretin. I just wish he'd raise his game one last time for the rest of this season and keep us up. Then put him in a cage or something.

I don't get him. This club has given him a life. The club plucked him out of the pub league. The club stood by him when he was turd in his first season here and wanted to quit. The club stood by him when he racially abused a man in the casinos for no reason. The club and fans have been nothing but supportive of him since his arrival  A little gratitude and respect wouldn't go amiss.

As I know absolutely nothing about what the hell is going on at the club, this is a thought I thought I would through out to you all. Now given we are hearing of fallouts internally between Claudio, backroom staff, players, recruitment etc, does anyone wonder if there was more to Steve Walsh leaving the club, and it just was coincidental, and fortuous that the DoF came up at Everton? Makes me wonder if a rift between CR and SW had become untenable.

I think it was alluded to ,that when Walsh was head of recruitment, ranieri was ignoring his recommendations and signing players Walsh or the team had never even scouted... Walsh recommended  Kante from the start but ranieri wanted to go for mendy so we went for mendy first and the only turned to Kante as a second option after finding out mendy wasn't available at the time...

Bare in mind he had the chance to leave for Arsenal for a handsome sum of money and undoubtedly an easier life on the bench, but he chose to stick with us, knowing full well that we wouldn't reach the heights we did last year. To me, that shows that there is more to his character than he's been given credit for on here. All of this was meaningless last year when he was scoring every other game and we all lovingly attributed it to part of his overall persona and appeal. I doubt any of us have spoken to him enough to get the impression that he isn't grateful for what's happened to him and doesn't regret some of the things he's done off the field. To me, he looks like a player who's played one way for his entire footballing career and all of a sudden is being asked to do a different job. Let's be honest, 80-90% of balls to him at the moment have been long, hopeful ones that lack any quality whatsoever. He never was/will be the technically gifted enough to pluck it out the sky and beat several players to score a goal.

How is being overpaid and not good enough down to the manager?

Because he picks the team? Some of our players should have been replaced in the summer. Why didn't it happen? Why are we now stuck with two aging centre backs?

The players have lacked effort all season but there's only one man who can change it all and that's the manager.

And don't start with the dof rubbish. When Pearson was here he was responsible, nobody ever brought up Rudkin, but for some reason it's different for Ranieri.

This.

Vardy has been no better or worse than anyone else in playing terms.

Unless I have missed something there seems to be a 'mole' who may or may not be Vardy giving information to the press about what is going on behind the scenes at the club; which anyone one with half a brain would know it would be some sort of falling out between players and management,or between themselves.

I do not understand why all and sundry on this thread are rounding on Vardy as being akin to someone from Isis, based on the above scenario.

Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Also, if this open animosity and disrespect from Vardy to CR were true there is no way on earth he would be picking him. As someone wrote earlier, CR has managed at top clubs with big egos for the last 20 years - he's not going to put up with that shit. Is he?

To be fair, once we were up, Terry Robinson took a fair bit of stick (I think that was his name) for not being able to get deals over the line.

Pearson seemed to play a far more prominent role in recruitment though, obviously not in pursuing players, but actually choosing which players we should pursue.

The more recent approach seems a lot more like when Sven was here out of our more recent managers.

For that reason I couldn't read it, or watch his film when or if it comes out, he's a chav from Sheffield, and that one exceptional season has set him for life, and the way he's played since, it looks like he's got what he wanted, and now couldn't give a ****

Club was naive and too busy wanking themselves silly with money imo.

But also who thought there would be such a dramatic collapse in the players' performance? I thought our defence would carry on being a rock and would have been shocked if Wes and Huth were replaced.

Hopefully we stay up and then start s clear out if possible.

Don't you find it odd that while the nationals pull us apart and are seemingly very well informed, the Mercury (ie Tanner and Sharpe) haven't even mentioned the story?

It's disgusting really but completely to be expected. Last season they were effusive in their praise for us and for Claudio because it sold newspapers - our title win was a godsend for them but unfortunately our subsequent relegation would be an even bigger gift.

5000/1 outsiders winning the PL and then being relegated among a backdrop of infighting and backstabbing- it's a journalist's wet dream and if they can do their bit to contribute to the discord then that's what they'll do, especially if it gets them a few more click views.

This is why I'm desperate for us to get it sorted before we slide into the Championship. Stay up and we'll forever be remembered as the unlikely champions and our legacy is secure. Go down and we will forever be remembered as the team that won it and then got relegated the very next season - with the emphasis on the relegation. We'll have turned glorious achievement into spectacular failure and our title win will be looked back on as some sort of big joke.

Well if Vardy is one of the ring leaders he needs to be made an example of, our owners are wealthy enough to make him spend the next 3 seasons playing with the reserves. Don't  even give him a squad number, hero to zero in a few short months,  make the rest of the clever buggers think.. If it was a choice between claudio or steptoe I know who i'd choose..

Posted

So people think Vardy is the mole telling people about egos, whilst also being one of the egos... makes sense, not.

He also has intimate knowledge of our scouting to know who was watched, who wasn't... doubt it.

There has has long been someone spilling the beans to John Percy, unlikely to be a player as often it's stuff above their level that he reports on.

As for someone telling another team about egos and such. Could be as simple as two pals on opposite teams and one just mentions to the other there are a few egos about. Saying it's a mole makes it sound like someone is intentielly trying to sabotage us.

Ridiculous scape goating again with zero evidence.

Not really odd.

I take what The Mercury and Radio Leicester say with a pinch of salt, as I have always thought of them as being  almost club propaganda merchants.

If the comments about Shakespeare are true than I am not surprised in the dip in performance. Like I said previously, he was and is a major component in our recent success and if Ranieri is trying to phase him, than the players performances would be effected. Ranieri is at the forefront of this collapse no matter how anyone looks at it. He is like the pied piper though, if we win he's great and if we lose than there's a whole load of excuses for why it isn't his fault.
