Sunderland (H) Match Thread

I like Gray in the sense he's the type of player who makes things happen. He scares defenders, runs at them and has the pace and tricks to beat them. I don't mind that he has a shot like the one Pickford saved, if he hadn't saved it we'd be praising him for the great goal he scored. What I don't like about him is he's tries that stuff every single time he gets the ball. There's no inbetween with him, it's make space and shoot, never once even contemplating playing a team mate in. I don't want him to be total unselfish, because he can do something special at times, but he needs to kerb it a little.

It is 03.36 here.No Stream, Reading FT is making me suicidal. Hoping for better news and less talks of streams.

Said it many times to myself, you're guaranteed to lose possession of the ball when Gray has it. One in fifty it'll fly in, the other 49 it's going wide or losing the ball; not a new thing

Feels like we're purposely playing with less intensity tonight, understandable since it's a midweek game.

The problem isn't necessarily an individual in midfield, it's that we are outnumbered in there - it's 3 on 2, normally we rely on Albrighton in games like this to help out with the midfield and become a 3 at times.

I don't think we have been to bad, we look dangerous every time we go forwards. Just need some better decision making.

At the other end, has Kasper actually touched the ball other than goal kicks?

This is the wake up call, the pressure is on, I'm eager to see the sides response.

Sunderland looking a threat, give any side that many set pieces and get away with it is fortunate

We have to let our strikers take shots like those. Especially in the first half.

Unless a glaring scoring chance is made from the pass....sod it, go for it.

We seem very intent on getting the ball to Mahrez in midfield whenever we can. We should be looking to feed Vardy at every possible opportunity in the box as well. Don't care how quick Gray is and how often he's practised the curling shot into the far corner, he needs to flocking look up and not go alone every time when he's got three runners in front of him. Go down the line and cross it. Run at them, draw defenders out of position and release the ball.

We treat Gray and Mahrez as our 'creative' players, but they've been very predictable this half.

It seemed that way, maybe that West Ham game in which we ran out of steam has something to do with it. Now we are going to just up it for the second half

Fair enough, as much as I want to Gray to grab one, Albrighton may be the best call.

This has got a Demari Gray Blinder written all over it 4th minute second half and bang in that Fucher goes !!

( I fuching hope so !!)

He is incapable of that, no end product whatsoever. Get Albrighton on, he's too selfish

Stick with it, it ain't pretty but we've not conceded and are in the game, frustrating but hopefully Shakey can sort it out in the break. Just watch out for the token jammy Defoe goal.

Haven't looked any worse than us

I've repeatedly said in this thread that we've been tragic.
