Amartey benny Huth and chillers as our defence against the leagues top scorer

a few weeks ago that would have caused mayhem on here !!

it might still do in three hours !!

everton look like 4-2-3-1

Can't rest Vardy with the way he's going at the moment, he seems to recover pretty quickly anyway. Strange that Mahrez has been rested, all he does is stroll

I'll be very impressed if we don't lose this.

I'd take a loss today if it gives us a better chance on Wednesday to be honest. If we go down it won't be because we lose today.

Also quite interested to see how some of them get on. Nice to see Chilwell, Amartey and Slimani given starts. Amartey hasn't looked too bad at right back if I remember rightly.

Doubt Drinky gets subbed, don't think Kapustka and King in the middle would be a good idea. Unless Amartey moves up to midfield, but then Albrighton would need to stay on to play RB. Or Was comes on to play RB?

I was thinking Kapustka on for Albrighton. You're probably right that Drinky won't get subbed, the only way I could see it happening would be if Was came on for Drinky and then switched with Amartey to play fullback. But I doubt it.

Seems to be a better eleven than anyone imagined, I just hope they play to win and not have half a mind on the Atletico game. The substitutions will be interesting to see when he takes important players off. It will be intersecting to see if they play with intensity and not unconsciously hold back

Champions League prioritised then, at least in the short term.  Shakespeare must think that 36 points is enough at this point in the season or we'd have seen last week's line-up.

Is it just me... or is our Photoshop person.. a work experience kid?

It looks like something i could do.. head sizes and placements all over the place... Huth has stolen half of Vardys neck

Edit, sorry just seen @Benguin s post

If it wasn't for Andy King's reluctance to make a forward pass I would be slightly optimistic.

A better 11 than I imagined though.

I remember the last match he played before Shakey took over he looked better than Drinky and certainly wasn't reluctant to pass forward. I think he'll do well.

Yeah, I reckon Albrighton is nailed on to start on Wednesday, so cabbage could come on for him today.

A decent lineup and obviously hoping no one gets injured. I thought it might have been Slim and Mus up top.

I suspect we're going for an early couple of Goals and then rest more people second half.

Nether one thing or the other

Taking unnecessary risk with too many

either go full strength or play your b team

if we win/draw with no injuries and the team perform well on Weds then shaky will be fully vindicated

I watched him when he came on against Sunderland though and nothing went forward.

Here's hoping.

36 points will possibly be enough at the end of the season, so it especially will be with 8 games to go. I would have rested Vardy and Drinkwater, but maybe the hope is we can bring them off later in the match.

Schmeichel, Huth an benny had to start for me, the lack of good cover there means it necessary.  I had ndidi for drinks an musa for Vardy, would prefer to bring Vardy on for 20 mins then start him. I think a nice balance has been struck between being competitive today an thinking of Wednesday.

You know things have turned a corner when people moan at the photoshopping of the team rather then the team.

Think it's an odd one myself, either prioritise the CL or don't. Don't really like a half and half, especially when you don't actually rest most of your important players.

Albrighton crossing to Slimani. Chilwell getting his chance. It should be a really good open game and shakey has recognised that we only need one more win so why not try and go for it! If we win today we can change the entire 11 against palace so why not try and do the job today and rest for the game between atletico

So either go all-out and knacker the team or give the game up before a ball is kicked? He's looking for balance. I'd have rested Vardy and Drinkwater though mind you

Good point...I expect the club have rested the 1st choice photoshopper... saving her/him for the CL
