fuchsntf Posted 3 January 2018 Posted 3 January 2018 Now steo back from this top presented game... Shows how good Slimanis goal was... 1
Guest Col city fan Posted 3 January 2018 Posted 3 January 2018 Tonight’s game shows why really big sides have never fancied Morata for too long. Costa would have finished the game and Chelsea would have won. Morata misses too many to be considered a top striker imo
The Horse's Mouth Posted 3 January 2018 Posted 3 January 2018 Arsenal are probably the best team to watch this year, for good and bad reasons. Only team against the big sides that usually ends up being a blockbuster fixutre

Jaspa Posted 3 January 2018 Posted 3 January 2018 Heard Marcos Alonso getting described as a 'quasar-defender' at the end there. Arsenals strengths and weaknesses shown in that there I think, they were quite easy to cut through and create their own problems if under pressure defensively but if they have something to fight for and you're going to sit back and draw them onto you they'll pick you off. And they still nearly gave it away a minute after they equalised
Vacamion Posted 3 January 2018 Posted 3 January 2018 I know it had a good ending, but it wasn’t a brilliant game - it was decent but not outstanding. Sky’s commentators bigging up their product there... 1
StanSP Posted 3 January 2018 Posted 3 January 2018 cracking game, that. end to end football. referee controversies, very good goals. some big misses (mainly by Morata). 1

So four wins should do us from now on in, whilst hoping for course we get 16! Intrigued why people think teams will need a high points total to stay up this year. Based on the 20pts from 22 games ratio of current 18th place (Stoke), then 35 points would see you in 17th after 38.

I think those sides on around 20 will pick up more wins in the remaining games than they have to date which is why I think 40 might be needed.
Danizen Posted 3 January 2018 Posted 3 January 2018 Bellerin's Spanglish accent creeps me out. It's like nails on a chalk board.
SystonFox Posted 3 January 2018 Posted 3 January 2018 i turned the game on at 60 mins. brilliant last 30!
fuchsntf Posted 3 January 2018 Posted 3 January 2018 The top Foreign managers complaining about the quantity of PL festive season .!!! Whoooa there boys. I could understand the bottom 6 clubs moaning, their squads are desperate. Any present top 6 clubs, could with no great pressure field a different 8-12 players and still offer a fair game (No squad shoud be guarranteed wins) We have just seen top 6 against top 3 team, produce a great game of football. Personally, I woud not moan if a 3-4wks break would be given. Then the PL sides should agree, at least one young player selected in 1st 11. and from 7 subs,....2 young and 1 fringe player, should be implemented for cup games.
foxfanazer Posted 3 January 2018 Posted 3 January 2018 The standard of referees is at an all time low. Got two key decisions wrong tonight plus a load of stupid ones. The Fabregas booking was the worst imo. The fact the key decisions evened themselves out shouldn’t excuse him either

Popular Post davieG Posted 3 January 2018 Popular Post Posted 3 January 2018 A winter break would be filled with money making trans world tours for the big clubs. For the smaller clubs players would lose match fitness. It would also mean cramming more games in before and after the break. Reduce the number of international breaks. 5
foxfanazer Posted 3 January 2018 Posted 3 January 2018 Oh yeah let’s have the first couple of months of domestic football interrupted by pointless internationals and then a winter break! When exactly do we wanna play these games?

I said I wouldnt moan, but thats presuming, the relevant descision makers come up with a good solution. Stopping n stuffing aint a solution. @gibbo Has a point with big clubs going off on a Winter break trans joint sponsored game. That should be prevented.
