No we hold a 4 year contract, his statement has no impact whatsoever,we only have to sell if we receive an offer we deem acceptable!

Do you think if he refused to play we would let him rot or sell him for less than we ideally want?

Everyone knows that de laet isn't much of a dribbler and mahrez is a lot better defender than 2 years ago, but tell you what, mahrez with de last overlapping was skinning fullbacks for fun.

The season we was nearly relegated we was getting exposed a lot down the right as well.

I Didn't say it wasn't an issue, especially after that arsenal battering. Just saying that it isn't the main problem. We are talking about what's best for the team, and mahrez firing on all cylinders is just that. De laet was always suspect defensively so it isn't really fair to say that any defender that can overlap will leave the team exposed.

I was talking about the season we nearly got relegated, 2014/15. in relation to your comment Mahrez was skinning full backs for fun with De laet overlapping.

There was a reason he got dropped and it wasnt because we were losing alot of games (2015/16), his attacking nature was a weak point that left us exposed, see the season before as a point of reference.

You need a balance.

I genuinely think Riyad is honorable and would not do that, he may appear languid and surly at times but I think that's more his playing style and demeanour as opposed to an attitude problem. However that is purely my opinion, I also feel Shakey would not hesitate to make the big call if a problem arose. I firmly believe we will play hardball and rightly not budge :)

To be honest, I think if I were Riyad, I'd want a change too. It must be demoralising playing in this team at the moment.

Well if we lose him we'll be up shite creak without a paddle, even a disinterested, and off form, missing a leg Mahrez is more effective than anyone else we have or could possibly sign.

Why should they when Kyle Walker has been sold for 50 million quid.

Would you rather have Sterling who also went for 50 million quid or Mahrez.

It`s not just about doing what Mahrez wants, it`s about getting a fair price for him, and in todays market he has to be worth at least 50 million.

Anything less and we are mugging ourselves off.

Yes, I absolutely agree with you, I'd love Riyad to stay and I think he is worth more.

What I was saying is, I can see the club taking a lower offer!

His problem is that he's inconsistent and, even at times when he can be superb and world-class - at other times he can be sloppy an frustrates others.

His head has already been turned by Arsenal and Wenger is more than likely to unsettle him/us further before 11th August, so I don't see him lining up against them if he is still here.

If it was any other opposition yes but Shakey is in a difficult position with this one.

Arsenhole Wenger is up to his dirty mind games has no plans of signing Mahrez until probably last min of deadline day, he'll want to unsettle one of our best players before we open the season against the Arses a week on Friday !!
So hoping Mahrez doesn't go to those shit bridesmaids rather see him go to Roma but they need to stop messing around with the valuation that Leicester has put on his head !!

Would be happy to sell if we reinvested the money properly.

Yeah let's be happy about selling our only creative player I can't wait

For that money at that. Don't believe in what the italians say though. Other Internet BS say the Spurs are on it again. One click bait after another.

It was demoralising having to watch him last season.

Do you think he'll be a great influence on the team when he wants to be playing Barcelona in Rome on Tuesday nights, not Stoke in November.

Tottenham sneak up on Arsenal with move for Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez

Spurs could beat their arch-rivals to signing of Algerian winger with offer of Champions League football a key attraction

TOTTENHAM are set to snatch wantaway Leicester star Riyad Mahrez from under the noses of arch-rivals Arsenal, according to reports.

Spurs have yet to sign a player this summer but could temp the 2016 PFA Player of the Year with the offer of Champions league football – unlike the Gunners.

Roma have already made two bids for Mahrez, but have said they will not up their offer of £32m in a third attempt.

Leicester want £50m for the Algerian winger, a figure which cautious Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is likely to baulk at.

Tottenham have already sold Kyle Walker to Manchester City and have been battling to fend off Manchester United’s advances for Eric Dier.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino has even had to deal with Cheslea manager Antonio Conte questioning Spurs’ ambition.

But with their rivals splashing the cash, and Tottenham fans getting nervous, Pochettino has said: “Our moment will arrive. We have a plan.”

Everton and England midfielder Ross Barkely is a likely target, and the Express reports that Mahrez is also on Spurs’ wish-list.

Just so you guys know, there’s a page in Facebook called "News AS Roma Online", it’s administered by two guys: Rick and Angelo. They appear to got some pretty good sources inside the club since they confirmed pretty much every sign this mercato hours or, sometimes, days before the so called professional press had a chance to do it themselves.

I’m typing all this context to inform that there, in their page, they confirmed two hours ago that the trattativa per Mahrez è chiusa. Riyad è un nuovo giocatore della Roma. Trust me, those two are the real deal. He's gone, guys.

Sorry about my english. Not my first language.

I'd rather we sold him to Roma for £35m than Spurs for £40m+.

The thought of him at spurs is enough to give up football

£35M, sorry can't see it happening unless someone at Leicester is trying to commit career suicide. Either that or we are desperately trying to release his wages.
