Why do you need Xavi to say it? No one needs anyone to tell us Messi or Neymar are world class. It's self-evident. I think Scholes was a great fit for the style of football Ferguson played. Not sure he would have adapted to the style of say, Barcelona or AC Milan. For me that is what makes a truly great player - the ability to lock down your position in any team on earth.

Kanoute, Radebe and Gervinho could do that could they?

I just can't take you seriously. Scholes would have fit into any team in the world.

And for the record Neymar is very good, he isn't world class

Neymar isn't world class but Paul Scholes was?

Can you hand me that spliff?

I've been arguing with friends for over 20 years, to the effect that Steve McManaman was the most brilliant and skilful player ever produced by England. He simply wasn't utilised properly by managers. At Madrid he showed his genius, and remains a legend there till date.

what combination are you doing?

3 sniffs of glue, wait 60 seconds and posssssssssst

You are reading what you're putting on this thread for everyone to see right??

Scholes and Cole weren't world class but Mcmanaman and Radebe were???

I'm sure Neymar hearing that he's in the same class as Gervinho will fill him with glee. He might as well retire now, what more can he achieve!?

Top class trolling mate, either that or you're severely drunk and/or high.

Or you've never actually seen a game of football in your life

Watched the first 30 seconds and watched a weak back heel picked up by the goalie just to confirm that I had not forgotten this "world class footballer" so we can agree to disagree but anyway welcome to the Forum Macca

I'm pretty sure Neymar hearing he isn't world class, but Paul Scholes and Gerrard are, will have him in stitches.

You said that because you know nothing about football.

To be fair, half of the France team that won the World Cup in 1998 were African.

Mahrez is pretty much French and Kante is from Mali.

I know the ft is not the mensa organisation, but still I  would expect most people would know that France was not in Africa.

This comment would surely make the internet's top100 "I am stupid quotes"

Do your research on that squad before you try and take the piss.

Born in France to Algerian parents

Same as Mahrez then, but he plays for Algeria.

There's also Djorkaeff, Vieira, Desailly...

Plus others of French Caribbean roots, originally from Africa.

http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/07/11/man-city-agrees-50m-buy-back-fee-with-leicester-city-for-iheanacho-set-for-medicals-this-week/

Leicester ‎City will pay Manchester City an initial fee of £22.5m for his services and they have also agreed on a buy back clause of £37.5m for the first four years of his stay with the Foxes.

However if Leicester are able to qualify for the Champions League during Iheanacho’s first your years at the club, and City want to exercise their buy back option, a fee of £50m has been agreed between both parties.

That is not a current report.  The newest report from ESPNFC makes no mention of the 37.5m buy back.

+1 for that not because I like it. Just for the fact its the only post on this page that has any relevance to the topic.

Desailly played for France but was born in Ghana ... get your facts right .

The point you are trying to make is the equivalent of the famous Olympic gold winning runner from Denmark.

The bloke was as black as a pint of Guinness and had spent 99% of his life living in Kenya.

Still wasn't called Marco

I'm sure Iheanacho will be signed in time for Borussia Monchengladbach.

Please do not try to drag this thread back on topic as you will likely get banned.

We’ll see how “World Class” Neymar is when he’s not playing for Barca.

Back on KI then, it appears it’s moved forwards in the past few days.

I wonder if this will start the ball rolling on maybe our outgoings?
