Craig Shakespeare: "It's a hard-earned point, I felt we started the game very slowly and gave the momentum to Bournemouth.

"To come away with a point on reflection is a hard-earned point, We had to defend with resilience in numbers.

"We didn't quite have that quality on the ball. On Monday I'll sit down and think a point well earned.

"We have to move on now."

If this was a must win game, then why is he happy with a point? Top put him out of his misery so he can go back to coaching duties.

It wasn't a sentimental appointment. It was our owners choosing player appeasement as any other choice might have been anarchy and our relegation at that time.

I get your point SF but his position was made permanent in the summer when already safe from relegation. I'd be very surprised if, deep down, the owners believed he was the man to take us forward and I doubt they do right now. The delay in making him permanent suggests they may have had some reservations. I think you're right about player appeasement though tbf.

Realistically who could we get to join us?

No one from another Prem team

Tuchel - no, plus he hasn't got glowing references from Dortmund

Ancelotti - wouldn't come I don't think but would love him

Nagelsman - no way in heck, will be next Bayern manager

Roger Schmidt - available

Van Bronckhorst - would be interesting but just won league with Feyernoord

Lucien Favre - Nice play some good stuff

The Nantes manager?! They are doing well....

I still think keep Shakey til at least end of October and give him this run of games, but if we do decide to get rid, give the new manager some of November and December before the transfer window opens.  Boy I feel sad typing about getting rid of a great  but seemingly tactically naive (or unable to motivate the team) guy...

As I've said all along, no. I predicted in the summer he won't see the season out and I stand by that.

What has he got our players working on in training? Does everybody turn up for a laugh?

I think it's called diving flat on your face to get an injury to make a space for a new expensive player that he hasn't a fcuking clue where to play....

That's not true.

He was given the gig after we'd avoided relegation.

Apologies, I suppose I wasn't referring to the permanent appointment, so duly should be pulled up. And I always felt that that interim appointment would inevitably result in his permanent tenure. The writing was on the wall. Our owners were caught in a very awkward position. They couldn't replace the players, Shakey was going to be the choice.

This stick in the mud, one tactic mess that we are dealing with is as much as the players fault as it is Shakey's.

I did not want him appointed permanently and after recent performances, nothing has changed.

The owners will give him some more time but the ending will be the same as last season and Claudio.

I just hope they do not leave it so late that the inevitable relegation challenge proves too tricky.

A replacement with both proven experience AND ambition please.

Could we entice Rafa?

What about Ancelotti ??

He’s looking for a new club!

With Shakey getting the job full time it was a bit like going backwards rather than forwards, yes we’ve had some great performances but now he’s shown that he could be out of his depth  I would have thought Appleton would have had more input but is Shakey taking his advice or is he just not listening??

We should have gone for a complete change but it looked like Nobody wanted to come after we so called backstabbed Claudio, but I’m hoping next time we can get a quality coach in with a decent management pedigree Rafa or Ancelotti would be great but we need a quality replacement to shape our potentially great squad the players we have in the right hands could be amazing with a few casualties on the way out but I’m really hoping the conspiracy theorists don’t say that Shakey has lost the dressing room and the lads are playing poorly as a result ala Claudio last season !!

Something needs doing and if the owners are going to do something it must be in this international break which gives the new chap time to get to know the lads and sort them out !!

either he doesn't realise the tactics aren't working in which case he should be sacked

or

he doesn't have the authority over the players to do so, in which case he should be sacked.

also playing a player in Vardy who is obviously untif when we have £55m worth of strikers on the bench is sheer stupidity, get him fully fit

Yeah getting the same feeling too. WBA might very well be his last game.

Ancelotti will be installed on Tuesday 17th October!! That tells you all you need to know about Shakespeare.

Why the 17th October? And not during the break?

Who are the 27% who want to keep him in the Gaelic Foxes poll? Surely you can't be that optimistic, do you want us to be relegated? We may get 40 points through hoofing but I'd rather take a chance now ta!
