Get wes  out. Finished. Huth  is about finished too though. We need a new centre half so bad. If only we had gone in for keane.

Huth for Wes. No question. Wes is spent Imo.

One poor game against a world class attack and you're all writing him off. Fvcks sake people our title winning captain deserves a little more credit. This is his first competitive game in a while, with a new partner, against Ozil, Lacazette, Welbeck, Giroud.

Didn't have a great game but he is still more than good enough to play against the majority of this league.

Huth and Maguire all day long. They could be a brilliant combo. Wes has always looked lost as a prem player without Huth.

This is why we needed a second cb then we could have let Wes go to find first team football, when fit Huth must play with Maguire

Should he drop Wes for Huth? Undoubtedly yes.

Will he? Of course not.

He wasn't afraid to drop Jakupovic to third choice. He may be more brutal than we think.

But if he thinks Hamer is better than Jakupovic do you trust his judgement?

Hamer has shown more than Jakupovic in the limited minutes they got in preseason, he had one or two worldie saves.

Also perhaps Eldin is still adjusting to playing with our strategy, which involves the GK needing to clear quickly to set off counters.

I will fully trust Shakey as long as he doesn't repeatedly get things wrong.

He has not made any mistakes in team selection so far in my eyes. (The subs are another matter...)

Wes is one of the biggest (figuratively as well as literally) players in our history and he's an icon however he's consistently looked poor without Huth - he's 34 in January and he's played a huge amount of games in his career so it's natural that his performance levels will drop off and unfortunately for the good of the team we need more mobility in defence alongside Maguire.

Huth is the better defender of the two but sooner or later he's going to deteriorate too so we need to sign another central defender, especially if Shakey intends to play so deep because the CBs need to be able to cope with such immense pressure because Wes can't anymore unfortunately.

Didn't drop a massively poor Mahrez last season. Didn't sub him tonight. As if he will drop his captain. We are stuck with him and I'm afraid that was the fear factor with Shakespeare. It's hardly groundbreaking to not name a keeper who has just joined us...

Who the hell swung in the corner for our third?

Anyway apart from the collective sleepwalking in the last five Morgan wasn't awful. But would I start Huth over him, very probably.

I have faith Shakespeare will do as he sees fit. Keeping on a constant goal threat and the man who assisted our third is hardly proof Shakespeare dare not sub Morgan.

Wes has been hideous for a long time, there are too many sentimentals on here, he's been paid well to do the job and he's done the job well, now his job is over.(Glad everyone can see that now) He should know to bow out now, do himself the favour.

Wes is captain. He's not getting dropped.

This is probably his last season but people need to stop pretending he is a walking disaster when it's clearly not the case. His positioning can be half a foot off sometimes (such as giving half a step to Lacazette which was a great ****ing goal) but that is not a new problem.

Huth also looked pretty shit last season too under Ranieri. Why the hell should he just walk into the team?

Stop looking for scapegoats and excuses please. We have played one game.

Huth simply isn't good enough.

The one thing Wes has Got is a bit (a tiny bit) of pace when he gets going.

Huth and maguire are slow as shit.

We need to go in for someone like Ogbonna, Geoff Cameron or Adil rami (not fast but his positioning and leadership make up for it)
