In fairness we're also missing Iborra and Ineanacho, both of whom you'd expect will be part of the core 15 or so that regularly play or come on.

I'm getting at we have no creativity, mahrez will be hard to replace, and with injuries we already have, and will get over the season, we have little or no quality to bring in, I wouldn't want many of that lot in the starting 11, slim yes, chillwell maybe.

Build up play seems ok but the final cross or finish just not there. Ulloa isn't good enough but given Slimani could well be sent off fairly soon we might have to keep him on.

Don't expect to see Slimani in the 2nd half, another booking and he misses Old Trafford.

He's looked good though but clearly frustrated that Chilwell and Musa can't put in a decent cross.

Albrighton and Okazaki for the 2nd half I think

Now I don't normally pay attention to fashion but to wear navy blue suit trousers with grey jacket is unbelievable! I'd be eaten alive at work if I tried to pull that off...

Come off it.

Musa's play is totally indefensible

I'm not saying it is. I'm saying that if gray had taken that shot nobody complains.

To be fair, Musa has been ok (apart from a couple of miskicks). If only he could finish, he would be great. Ulloa little or no impact. Gray not doing much. Chilwell promising coming forward. I wonder whether Fuchs is playing at centre half because that's where he will be against Man Utd?

Poor game on the whole so far.

Few chances, badly taken chances. Slimani with the best chance for us, squandering a near-free header?

Need and can do better than this. Then again, it's more or less a second-string outfit we've put out tonight, so I don't know what to expect.

Slimani, Maguire, Chilwell and King come out with a lot of credit.

Fuchs and Amartey hardly ever tested. Ndidi is doing ok.

Ulloa, Gray and Musa all very frustrating to watch - for various reasons.

Gray his usual selfish self.

Ulloa largely invisible.

Musa huffs and puffs, but lacks precision and application.

Musa needs to chill the F out. He is pressing every single time we see him. He needs to be told to just stop shooting until he can set up 3 decent shots for teammates, just to get him thinking that way. Love that he wants to make an impression, but you can't recover your reputation with one shot my man. Start making better decisions with the ball, start using your pace and ability to draw the extra defender and then look for your support making the run, TAKE YOUR TIME and time your attack so that you will have the angle for the player trailing you if that opens up, Musa is going 100% for goal and then he has no angle for a pass and winds up taking a crap shot.

Kid needs a valium. He has talent. If we can get him to relax and make better decisions, I can see him helping the club this season.

You're making up your own story there. We've had plenty of creativity it's the final shot or ball that has been poor.

Musa's application has been fine, least he looks interested unlike Gray who has done nothing. He's just trying to force things when there is no need to, it's brainless. So many time he could stop and just lay it off but he attempts to force something to happen.

Leo is muck, it's a shame Nacho isn't fit because Leo wouldn't be near the team.

Thought Slimani probably played the best, looks bright and half a yard quicker. Shame the ref booked him for nothing like Musa. Poor reffing, he'll end up

with a red for nothing.

All over the pitch really there has been some good stuff and then some real shite almost to a man. Very inconsistent.

Jeez guys get real...this is a real game 11 men vs 11 men not some fantasy game been played on a keyboard where you have a shot at goal every time you have possession. As I said earlier I think we have been quite enterprising with some good crisp passing....No hoof ball which we all thought we would see given 2 big men upfront....true final pass. or shot just lacking at moment....Have coped well the few times they have threatened...Amartey and Ulloa our two weakest out there ...

Shakespeare wouldn't play Slimani in Old Trafford one way or the other. If he plays him it is for the last 15 mins.

It's a shame Musa is trying, just things ain't happening for him.

Think him and Slim up front second half.

Some of Slims movement and passing has been spot on.

Ulloa just isn't at the races any more.

Ndidi will be better just pushing forward that extra 5 yards.

You can tell some of the players ain't playing regularly, but one goal and think we will play with a bit more freedom and some players may express themselves more

Pretty concerned with Gray's play so far this season. He has the talent to be much more of a facilitator than he is showing, IDK if he is pissed Mahrez is still around or what, but he looks like less of a player than last season by a good margin.

Spot on IMO, you can tell he's trying to force everything. He's getting involved and manages to find loads of space with his movement... just calm the fook down!

I've notice Fuchs is staying back and not taking the dangerous throw ins. You'd think with 2 big men up front they could leave somebody else back.

Btw Musa's got a big throw on him too.

Calm down, we'll win.  We've been by far the better team. X

As I contemplate the vicissitudes of life I find myself imcreasingly contemplating what @RumbleFox would say. Soothing ointment for Foxestalk, and life itself
