After last years debacle, and now this, I am totally convinced he will never play for us. Knocked down in Morrisons car park is my guess. And even if he really does play one day, and he is amazing, I will forever be haunted by the thought of what might have happened if we had got him last season.

How much does that amount to in a real currency? Ultimately, yes we should have bought him rather than spend a fortune on strikers who've so far done virtually nothing due to lack of talent or game time. We suffered massively losing Kante and put all of our hopes on Mendy being an adequete replacement. I'm not here to slate any of our players but in that particular window we should've broke the bank for Silva and maybe only signed one striker! Claudio finally got his way, signed Mendy and the rest is history.

So the club can say what it wants, the fact nothing has been said is because they don't have a leg to stand on in my opinion.
