Think I've cracked this!

I've come up with a cunning plan...

Get Silva to shave off his facial hair..

Enrol him into our under 16's academy.

He can join the 'groovy gang '.....

It's worked before so why not for us?

Even with facial hair he still looks 25yrs younger than our young nigerians.

No I don't think they asked for more, it's just the two sides took a long time (ultimately too long) to agree the price, with Leicester seemingly unwilling to go the extra €200k the Sporting chairman wanted. If correct then this extra €200k has cost us dearly!

but we would be bankrupt if we didnt haggle over it according to some on here. 200k is massive money in the EPL.

Sorry for getting proven right.

Haggling over 200k and now paying 4 months wages for a player we cannot play, damaged momentum on league form, creating issues for the manager, and a player who wont be up to speed mid season having to be put in the team somehow.

Plus likely wasted legal fees on an appeal we going to lose. Late is late, doesnt matter if its 10 seconds or 10 hours.

With Iborra available, that should allow Ndidi to be more forward.

Hoping that if the appeal is unsuccessful, this partnership will be effective enough until January.

You've just gone over 30 pages back to quote me and somehow suggest you were  proven right? Fvcking hell that's not just sad, you seem to be agreeing with me (although your point about 200k being a lot in the EPL contradicts that!)

My point was that our commercial team were wrong to try to negotiate right down to the wire, and should have just agreed the deal so we would have had the player signed for the deadline.

Maybe if you go back to sleep for another 30 pages we'll have him by then!

I've heard of mixing metaphors, but mixing Shakespeare quotes is a new high for FT....Now, Schopenhauer/Nietzsche anyone?

Do all philosophers have an S in their name?

Oh but they are... I've seen them about 5 times in the last 10 years, and they're still as brilliant as ever! Stanshall is still sorely missed though!
