fairbanksh Posted 6 September 2017 Posted 6 September 2017 Really shouldn't be in this position More embarrassing and incompetent than Ryad sitting around waiting to be signed If no resolution a massive blow to seasons aspirations The incompetent pair really should go, don't forget last season

You really think the FIFA would say no now? I highly doubt it. Thanks guys, because of you I still feel zen about this

How can one organisation grant permission, but the other deny it. I would imagine this is a c*ckup with FIFA and nothing to do with the LCFC staff and now FIFA are trying to save face. If permission is granted by the FA and it was all done in time, what right does FIFA have to block it.....I agree there are rules, but at the end of the day there is a player that will now face no game time until January this is not necessarily bad for Leicester (unless you're FT) but it's a disaster for the player who will not be up to full fitness till Feb time and risks being sidelined
Binary Sunrise Posted 6 September 2017 Posted 6 September 2017 Someone need's to caption one of those hitler downfall video's of this.

There are A LOT of rules and regulations surrounding transfers and deadlines, this isn't FIFA 2017 where you click a player stick in a huge wad of cash and get your man. It's a business. It is what it is and we need to move on regardless of the result.

Mike Oxlong Posted 6 September 2017 Posted 6 September 2017 On the plus side he's going to have a lot of free time to play on Mrs Silva's bouncy castle
Mike Oxlong Posted 6 September 2017 Posted 6 September 2017 Maybe we can pull a shit paperwork stunt when the time comes to sell Riyad.
Dames Posted 6 September 2017 Posted 6 September 2017 I see the Rudkin defence force is in full swing in this thread. The bloke is simply out of his depth and its about time people realised that. He let Steve Walsh and most of his scouting team leave because he had his eyes on the job and all the glory that came with it (The press release when Steve Walsh left confirmed this when Rudkin was shoehorned in at the bottom as taking up his duties) and it appears that scouting team has not particularly been rebuilt and we are still relying on targets we've been tracking since Walsh's time. People can point to Kelechi but at the end of the day he was made available its not exactly a hidden gem - every team in and around us would have been interested. A good director of football would not have let two good central midfielders leave on deadline day without properly securing us a replacement first. It was pure negligence to leave the Silva deal so late because they would have known for a few days that Drinkwater and Mendy would be on their way out. He might not have personally filed the paperwork but him and his team are responsible and as a club we will be heading into the busiest period of the football year with one of the most important areas in the team under strength purely down to his and his departments incompetence.

Ndidi - could be world class. King - Championship level mainly (no disrespect) James- Proven Top Class Championship player and now needs to prove himself in the prem. iborra - Unproven at prem level was good rotated player at seville.
Nick Posted 6 September 2017 Posted 6 September 2017 If this can be sorted its been a brilliant window - if it can't it'll leave a bitter taste. If the FA / PL approve a two hour extension but FIFA then deny it - this technicality isn't Rudkin's fault, however if this deal was even an option inside FFP we perhaps should have done it earlier but the truth is we don't know what licence Rudkin has to operate in the respect of spending before selling and if even Chelsea were ever going to make the bid and meet the asking price... It's not an exact science but I do worry about the footballing experience in the room in terms of processes and the level of money involved.

With the Prem Money, Champs League money and extra money from all the associated benefits from winning the league we would have been well within FFP. I doubt currently we are even close to breaching. As you say its just down to a lack of footballing experience, its just too many people out of their depth making the decisions.

Wdywd Posted 6 September 2017 Posted 6 September 2017 Just echoing what everyone else is saying really but it's ridiculous to leave a transfer that late. Hardly matters if you miss it by 14 seconds or 14 days does it? The deadline is the deadline, you've KNOWN it was the deadline for months. There's no excuse for missing it
