Jon the Hat Posted 11 September 2017 Posted 11 September 2017 4 games. Wow. You have to be properly rubbish to only last 4 games.
Wymsey Posted 11 September 2017 Posted 11 September 2017 No goals after 4 games, a very poor return in a demanding league. Though barring one terrible back-pass and Delaney missing from 2 yards, thought they were dangerous yesterday. Townsend is key to them like Mahrez and Vardy are key for us.
Fox92 Posted 11 September 2017 Posted 11 September 2017 From what I saw of them yesterday on TV they looked like us under Sousa.... Battered Burnley, especially second half, but just couldn't score. Dann had two off the line before missing a free header, that said he is a centre half.
Adster Posted 11 September 2017 Posted 11 September 2017 Finger of blame must surely go to the Management team who hired him. No way De Boer was going to make his mark on his team four games in. A side cannot just go from hoof ball to slick passing football overnight.
PaulW Posted 11 September 2017 Posted 11 September 2017 Perhaps all those wanting rid of Shakey would like to sign him as the 'big name' that they seem to crave!

glenny_fox Posted 11 September 2017 Posted 11 September 2017 Just now, fox in the sox said: Hodgson to take over. so much for their football revolution. Back to hoofball they go. Expect them to go after Gareth Barry and Rooney in January
foxy boxing Posted 11 September 2017 Posted 11 September 2017 He just didn't know enough about the League or the players, questions need answering at palace as to how he even got the job!
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 11 September 2017 Posted 11 September 2017 Shame, FDB would have taken them down for sure, now they have a slim chance of survival.

There's no doubt he will keep them up which doesn't help us. It is now difficult to pick out 3 teams who will definitely struggle and it could be quite a battle between a large number of teams.
RoboFox Posted 11 September 2017 Posted 11 September 2017 He really made a pig's ear of it, didn't he? Time for someone else to bring home the bacon.
somebum Posted 11 September 2017 Posted 11 September 2017 Bad appointment in the sense that those simple minded players would never have understood his continental approach
filbertway Posted 11 September 2017 Posted 11 September 2017 Hiring a manager who's obviously going to need time to try and put his own stamp on the team then sacking him almost immediately. Genius. As bad as some think we have it, at least we aren't linked Roy the boy
Redouane Posted 11 September 2017 Posted 11 September 2017 Reminds me of the Algerian national team. After 3-4 bad results, we sack the manager and get a new one. As if our problems are all due to the manager!
wasthedestroyer Posted 11 September 2017 Posted 11 September 2017 I cant understand them sacking him. They didnt look bad yesterday, they just didnt have any luck.
Guest Papasmurf Posted 11 September 2017 Posted 11 September 2017 Might still have a job if Schlupp was capable of hitting a barn door.
MC Prussian Posted 11 September 2017 Posted 11 September 2017 Bring in big names and they'll do well.. Jokes aside, it's a ridiculous decision still. Implementing a new philosophy and a new style of play under a new manager surely requires more than four league matches? Knee-jerk reaction by an impatient management.
shen Posted 11 September 2017 Posted 11 September 2017 Also, is it a dig at the man calling him 'de Boar' in the thread title? Or is it just an honest mistake? I've seen it a few times on here today...
ajthefox Posted 11 September 2017 Posted 11 September 2017 Absolutely mad. The expectation of immediate success is ridiculous. Why did they even bother appointing him? They've been flirting with relegation for the last few years, they were never going to turn into world beaters overnight. Who did Palace even buy this summer? Aside from a Dutch player De Boer knew I can't remember.
