Silva is livid, he's not had an explanation since being subbed off at HT against Man City and Puel has ducked the question.

The powers that be higher up at the club are baffled by his lack of involvement as well as a few other selections at the moment. It might look good for Puel in the table but keep going the way it is and I think theyll get rid of him in the summer.

Interesting.

he obviously didn’t follow puel’s instructions !  it’s a very strange one. I can only think puel didn’t  consider him physically strong enough for today’s fixture. In which case he should be playing next weekend but that will be a game where we don’t see much of the ball so will hardly be ideal for him.

Not surprised. We busted a ball to get him and now we’re not starting him.

Puel on Radio Leicester rubbished the thought of playing Silva in a more advanced role behind Vardy insisting he’s more a box to box midfielder. I could see him doing a job behind Vardy, could be the playmaker in the side to take some weight off Mahrez’s shoulders, or he could be possibly shit there but why not try and see?

Wouldnt be surprised if Silva is pissed. We’ve fvcked his chances of another World Cup.

I thought Silva looked pretty decent I the first half against Man City tbf. Baffling substitution. We crumbled because of the changes at half time.

Hasn't he heard of knocking on the Managers Door and looking for an explanation.

I do think players are entitled to an explanation when taken off during a game. The Manager should pull them aside on Monday and just explain why he decided to change the approach to the game. It stops resentment building within the Squad.

i don't know I was just posing the question. If he has then surely he was told what he needs to do to secure a place in the Team.

Won the Euro cup in 2016, now he watches James, an ordinary plodder who isnt really better than being average at everyhing, and doesnt even come off the bench. Lovely stuff.

I'd take Silva over james any day but Portugal were fairly boring themselves winning Euro 2016.

Silva and Iborra are not Puels signings, James plays because of Appleton's influence, I believe they will be sold in the summer or go out on loan.  He will not play these two unless Ndiddi and James are injured from this point on is my belief.  In the summer we will see the real Puel team after his own signings are made.

So we’ve signed another moaner from Sporting then if Abrasive is to be believed?

He’s not kicked a ball for 6 months and it shows, if Puel doesn’t think he’s ready to start yet then he probably isn’t.

I think when he is ready though he’ll be an excellent option if we were to switch to a Liverpool style 4-3-3... we’ve got the players and I’d love to see us try it!

He wont be ready to start unless he actually plays though. Dont blame him for moaning, probably wants to get into the world cup team.

I cannot understand why Puel did not bring Silva in the last 30 minutes of yesterday’s game. If Silva is deemed not fit enough to go a full game, OK but we were crying out for some creativity and you would think he could go full out for thirty minutes.

There has to be some internal issues going on for Puel not to bring him on. Does anyone on here really think we were better off with James in that last thirty minutes!! James had a chance to jab the ball in from three yards at one point and he was so slow to react that he was beaten to the ball by two players who were way quicker. If we want to be successful playing a more possession based game, then Simpson, Morgan and Gray cannot be picked and Dragovic, Silva and Armartey/ Albrighton ( at right back)  have to start. Personally with the players we have right now against Bournemouth I would go three at the back or Albrighton at right back so we could easily move into a wingback formation when on the front foot. Simpson and Morgan were just awful for our ability to move forward in a fluid manner yesterday. Gray should never never start ahead of Diabate as he does nothing to help link up the play. Diabate is always looking to involve other players and move the ball on quickly.

In my opinion that horrible first half was all on Puel for picking Simpson, Morgan and Gray to start.

heres my take on this, doesn't matter wheat manager we have when ever we buy players who we have chased, we leave them to rot on the bench. when we were playing well iborra and ndidi were killing it. but with james and ndidi we dont have a creative ball player both play back more than going forward. puel is losing me with his crap selections.and his pathetic subs.

Last time I saw Iborra I thought him slow and cumbersome and not worth his place. Read a Spanish interview with him this week that would suggest that he and his family are not exactly settling in well here. He made mention that compared to Spanish clubs he's been at, players and their families don't mix much out of work, due in part living and travelling in from distant cities daily like Manchester.

Silva looks techniquely very good but is he quick enough or strong enough for the Premiership? Would he have got anywhere near the ball yesterday?  Though he won't improve without game time.

On numerous occasions yesterday I thought we were unnecessarily slowed down getting the ball into midfield or wherever due to the cumbersome Morgan compared to Dragovic, who is far more comfortable on the ball and can pass! Club captain in name he maybe but we can't have room for sentiment or favouritism anymore.

Some strange team selections and formation with what he picked. It certainly didn't work. On the other hand I do feel that he's inherited a hotpotch of disparate players who have been bought without any thought of how they would actually fit together as a team. It seems a long time ago in football since a manager knew what cog he required for his machine to function as unit and the club then go out and get it for him. Nowdays it seems that players are bought by self appointed experts with no particular experience and then handed over to the manger to see what they can do with them.

Joke club we have become if that happens , I’m sorry but if we are serious about Building we need stability , Puel is clearing the decks and he needs time , those that run the club have already shown they are lucky lucky people but luck runs out !

Agree.. The Wheat Manager needs to be shredded!

If James has to start (for some reason) take Gray out and stick silva behind Vardy instead. He needs to play, otherwise he’s off in the summer.

This is a better idea.  Grey goes to the wings leaving space in the hole that makes too much work for the mids.  Look...puel should play silva or iborra.... they are both pros who will fight to take their chance.  Silva needs to be sharper and stronger. ..to progress he has to play.  I like james. ..but he is just having a run of games before his next injury
