(I used google translate, so sorry if this is not understandable)

Would you play Maguire in midfield alongside with Ndidi?

Did he play there before?

because he can drive forward with the ball and make a good runs from the middle.

And what about Huth? Why everyone drops him out? What have he done wrong with us?

for me, he and Morgan are the perfect classical centre backs.

His injury is not that bad, and the age doesn't affect his style of play. btw he is not that old (33 is not much for a CB).

Iborra? Silva?

Huth's finished imo.

Have we even heard any news on him for ages? I mean like since the start of the season? I've seen absolutely no updates whatsoever - Although any info coming out the club regards press conferences e.t.c, I don't really bother with anyway nowadays because I can't understand and end up zoning out, as for reading the comments I could but even the written media give conflicting quotes - Mercury gave one, one of the national quoted one word different which changed the whole context the other day,

I'll say it again, we've knew we've needed to strengthen in the defensive area for 2 years now...that's two years and barr signing Maguire who looks like a great signing we've done nothing, fuck all! Oh oops I forgot we've signed Dragovic on loan oh how we've used him and how impressive he looks

Huth is done here I think. Injuries are too much for him

I heard he was barely training before the injury

I think his injury is not a career-ending injury... there are much worse injuries.. i mean it's not a broken leg or like matty james' injury..

and this is his injury history:

The thing that jumps out however is it’s a recurring injury.

And ankles are a pretty essential area for a professional footballer - and having read the description on this injury, I would say it is very serious;

The lateral malleolus fracture is a 'Weber C' injury - above the ankle joint. There is a transverse medial malleolus fracture. The distal tibiofibular joint is also widened. The ankle is completely unstable; the structures beyond the dotted line are detached from the tibia or fibula proximally.

Who would you play at CB to accommodate Maguire playing further up the pitch?  I'm not completely against the idea of him playing as a defensive midfielder given his size, obvious quality on the ball, his intelligence and his ability to drive play forwards amongst other things, but we'd need better cover at CB to make it worthwhile experimenting with and I don't think it's worth signing a new CB just so we can try playing one of our existing CBs as a midfielder.

So it's a no for me even though he definitely has a lot of the right attributes for it.

Plus we now (or will) have good options in midfield

Is it only Leicester fans, or just British fans in general that call for any centre back who can carry the ball forward to be given a go in midfield? lol

It's fvcking clueless. As if that and tackling are the only requirement for that position lol

No. But can see Maguire being even better in a back 3 where there is more cover when he drives forward. Great signing so far. Looking like we may never see Huth again :( Morgan doesn't have long left so we need another 2 CBs Chilwell as LWB and a new RWB if we are to switch to a back 3. Busy summer probably

Maguire started his career in midfield IIRC...  so, not a daft shout by any stretch

i think we have stronger options to start there, but, it’s great (when the score line demands it) that he’s capable of bombing forward...

Tough call with Huth...  I love the way he defends and I think he’s been missed, but, I think I’d like to see us develop Dragovic before bringing in Huth

Feel better after using all those big words?

I hadn't realized that you are a medical DJ and I assume the dotted line appears on the diagram(me) that accompanies the names of bones that I (and probably the majority on here) don't have a clue which particular bone they are in the foot/ankle area....it would have helped if you shared that picture with us.

Football manager syndrome at its finest.

'I once played Robert Huth up front on FM and he scored fifteen goals in a season. Give him a go.' and so on.

He plays center back to the standard where he has represented his country in that position. You'd have to be a moron to suggest playing him anywhere else.

That’s where he’s been playing for England. I’m sure Southgate would love to see us play a back 3 so Maguire gets even more familiar with it.

Not sure playing 3 at the back accommodates our best attacking players though (Riyad, Gray, Vardy). I think 433 will be best with RVG up top, Iborra, Silva and Ndidi in the middle, ahead of the usuaL back 5 (Chilly v Fuchs is a toss up for me)
